For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

dd1s favourite thing ever was a little red metal wheelbarrow. She used to transport snails from one end of the garden to the other. And sometimes stones.

"I want to get him a real present, a toy"

oh I see

how about a scuttlebug?

or Cariboo, much loved by 2, 3 and 4 year olds in this house?

"Sorry I am being whiny and demanding and hypochondriacal atm"

I hadn't noticed

I am of all the wheelbarrows. I never felt I could justify one for ds as our garden is only about 10 foot long. I suspect this was a mistake.

We are having lunch. Part desperation part hunger. I think it's going to be a long old day.

Can anyone help me out next? Present for a just 2 year old, about £15, preferably something very real and lentilly as his parents are similarly inclined to us.

What about a pull along or push along toy? That was dd2s favourite present last xmas, she got a clacky dog on a string, wooden and nice, and she took him for walks noisily everywhere, and a push along penguin that with flappy feet - also lovely and wooden, and that still gets walked about the house lots.

Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 11:41

This isn't the one, but like this www.amazon.co.uk/PULL-ALONG-TOY-DOG-Hand/dp/B000W7XUNU/ref=pd_bbs_sr_8?ie=UTF8&s=toys&qid=1197286757 &sr=8-8

FrannyandZooey · 10/12/2007 11:41

oh yes I hadn't thought about that, thanks Boco

I am not sure if they have them in town, I was hoping to get it today

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 10/12/2007 11:42

oh actually they might have

have been avoiding wooden toy shop for ages as too expensive and ds goes wild in there

they probably have them

OP posts:
Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 11:43

i like this

Bocohohoho · 10/12/2007 11:43

oh ok, you need it today, scrap that.

FrannyandZooey · 10/12/2007 11:47

I like that too Boco

something non boy-ish would be appreciated I think as he gets all the usual boy stuff bought by relatives and his mum is very keen on gender neutrality

when ds was this age I bought him a tutu but that might not go down totally well, heh

Do you remember those steiner dolls? I used to have one when i was little and loved it, and my brother had one too - i wonder if you can still get them. Obviously not for today.

FrannyandZooey · 10/12/2007 11:50

oh someone linked to them recently - they were pricey! so sweet, I had never seen them before. That would be perfect though - in fact he just got bought doll stuff for his birthday, I wonder if a highchair or something would be good?

Oh dear, pre-school just called to say no one arrived to pick up dd2. Phoned dps work and he was all confused about the day and had totally forgotten. This isn't a good day.
