For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

We have a bokashi bin and put everything in. Then a handful of bokashi, and then put it all into one of those big green one's in Franny's link.

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 13:22

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 13:23

Composting is a bit scary, and there are zillions of fruit flies, but they're ok, and only in the outside bin, not inside. Dp is in charge of compost. He seems to love it, and find it therapeutic to go out and turn it every now and then so it's fine, and i like the fact that no food waste goes in the main bin.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 13:53

think it is to discourage rats and mice and similar things

Hello

I had a nice birthday yesterday with lots o me time and a birthday cake baked by my Mum and Bucks Fizz

Now I have tonsillitis

I shouted at DH this morning because in the middle of the night he had gone to sleep in the spare bed which I had just washed all the covers on ready for my sister coming to stay next week

I have apologized for shouting but he has nhot apologized for dirtying the sheets

I have been entertained by the thread though

Thank you

FrayedKnot · 09/12/2007 14:41

I have a mole with a hair I think it's an age thing.

I also have three black hairs growing out of my neck which I didn;t notice for weeks. We are a bit short of mirrors with good light in this house

It also annoys me that if I want to take DS swimming I have to prepare for it by three hours in the bath first attempting to tidy things up.

However I totslly agree about young girls and pressure to remove all hair etc etc.

Was it not on MN that someone said (or maybe someone told me in RL) that on dating websites the most frequent question blokes ask is whether or not you have removed everything or have it shaped like a heart etc etc.

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 14:50

Boco I shall be hassling you constantly for compostly guidance now i know you have the same system as us

does anything grow in the inside one?

Avi does it feel muscular or something else?

OP posts:
zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 14:55

i have only once been asked if i have removed anything/everything i think or possibly twice

and he was unsettled by it being removed (not by me) as he thought it was too prepubescent although he was into porn

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 15:16

If you did remove everything could you put it into the compost bin I wonder

Noise

Anticipate noisy activities and time them if possible to cause least disruption. This may involve starting work earlier or finishing later, or alternating activities on site. Consider alternative equipment if this is feasible. Ban radios. Give warnings of noisy activities so that occupants can plan.

rofl and this is from someone who has lived on a building site for two years

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 15:30

Hello FK
Bucks Fizz came to help your mum make the cake?

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 15:32

Help with my pie please here . The veg are steaming now so I don't have long to decide.

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 15:33

Zippi - soil storage - put it somewhere you can grow veg in it.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 15:37

I am now on groundwork operations

thinking radio comms, camoufalge etc

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 15:41

Camoflage? Why? Zippi, what are you studying?

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 15:46

no just trying to make it more interesting

the sub headings for groundwork ops are excavations etc

what the heck waffle can i put under excavations

hire a mini digger? or preferably a hunk

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 15:53

Excavations can be done with shovels or a variety of diggers. Small excavations can be carried out by a small child with a plastic spade. Excavations can be made more interesting by burying small pieces of gold and items of historical interest before you start.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 15:57

lol i am so tempted to write that

when i was at art college i sued to include random lines from lyrics in my essays
