For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 09:33

What does one do with evening primrose oil? Drink it? Burn it ritually? Use it to oil one's moustache so that at least it looks impressive?
I also have hairy legs and toes.

Franny, I didn't notice your mole.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 09:36

oh just take it in capsules i take it all the time tesco big tub of 180 x 1000mg

whether iot will do anything i dont know but it is suposed to regulate hormones i think

i have had it recommended by a gynaecologist before for periods

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 09:37

think i read on here somewhere to bleach moustaches as it makes the hair thinner too

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 09:38

I have tons of moles, I don't mind them, but I now have to groom a couple of them every few weeks. Either that or plait them.

I have hairy legs, toes, oh, everywhere, I will leave the subject there. My leg hair is blonde so I quite often can't be arsed to do much with it.

Bloody hell, Boco, that really takes the biscuit.

Hello, 10/10ers.

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 09:39

I don't think body and facial hair is down to hormones, I think it is normal and we have been conditioned to think it is not normal or acceptable.

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 09:43

I think my homeopath would be very at taking it in medicinal quantities. I used to drink a really gorgeous evening primrose and apricot tea but I think it's not made any more
Do you know, I only saw the blasted thing yesterday, in the museum mirror, and I'm wondering if the museum mirror is honest and ours is overly flattering hairwise, in which case I may have had it for ages

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 09:44

TooT I did not see a whisper or indeed a whisker of a moustache when we met

and I don't think those Travelodge bedroom lights are overly flattering tbh

I think you're right Franny and I am that I feel shamed into shaving armpits/legs and that dd1 is desperate to shave hers. Bloody society.

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 09:45

LOL just realised how dodgy that sounds, that me and TooT met in the bedroom of a cheap hotel

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 09:45

lionheart · 09/12/2007 09:46

Bra burning may have been a wee bit hasty there Franny.
You may need it more than you think.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 09:46

oh it doesnt sound very noticeable

i just thought if it had recently appeared it might be hormonal not suggesting it is good or bad..tho if you dont like it then to me it would be bad tho someone elses wouldnt

surely your homeopath wouldnt think evening primrose oil was bad?

zippi fweeling quite ignorant here as thought it was a good thing to take

FrannyandZooey · 09/12/2007 09:47

I think it is getting MUCH worse now for girls growing up than when we were young

they have all this thongs and fanjo shaving thing to contend with, as well as all the shit like deodorant that makes your armpits look shiny or whatever

FFS we are people with bodies not plastic dolls

There is a woman who works in a local shop who has a very luxuriant moustache

it is longer and thicker than dp's

the first time I saw it I was quite mesmerised tbh

TooTickyDoves · 09/12/2007 09:50

Ooh, hello Lionheart

Zippi, it's the regular taking of medicinal amounts. It can complicate things. Because if that was to solve the problem, once the balance was restored, if one carried on taking it, the problem could recur.

zippitippitoes · 09/12/2007 09:50

i must have breakfast get out of bed and do this assignment
