For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Its hideous. I don't think I would send her in on Monday and tell them she's too upset. Do something lovely with her instead - after you've been down to thump have a word with the dinner lady.

foxinsocks · 08/12/2007 17:14

oh boco

my email isn't working at the moment so I can't send you a message (will check later to see if it's working) but I'm sorry to hear there have been more problems.

I'm starting to think they only employ fuckwitted emotionally dysfunctional adults at your school!

Perhaps draw up a chart so you can cross off the days until your holiday (so the children have something to look forward to too). I only hope you can write off this term and start afresh next term.

And I hope you find that dinner lady on Monday and tell her what's what, the stupid cow. The more I think about it, the more I think that catering company were the root of all this evil, the spiteful twats.

TooTickyDoves · 08/12/2007 17:34

Yes LittleRach, that's the one
Sympathies for you having to deal with dh's puke.
We came home to find that the cat had shat on ds1's pillow

My head hurts. I seem to be permanently dehydrated atm.

And on top of everything I appear to be growing a FUCKING MOUSTACHE!!!!!!

Sorry, I am moaning again.

Yulemoonfiend · 08/12/2007 17:39

Boco, I don't really mean this, but it makes me feel better to suugest it...

Why not buy xmas presents for all the dinner ladies except HER. And give her a xmas card with ''This is what it feels like to be excluded by a vindictive cow. Now, magnify that feeling by 1000 to come close to how my daughter is now feeling because of you and your pedantic, nasty, mean-spirited, fecking jobsworthy attitude.'' written in it.

FrannyandZooey · 08/12/2007 18:42

It is unbelievable isn't it. (I don't mean we don't believe you Boco but you know what I am saying). It sounds more like something from a fairy tale with wicked queens in it - the whole thing is really ODD that actual real adults are genuinely doing this to a child in the year 2007.

boco

i know it is awful and that dinner lady is a cow but i think the best think to do would be to blame the birthday table as the birthday table is wrong. If you make it all the birthday table's fault and then the birthday table iss gone then the problem is gone. Can you tell DD that the dinner lady did that becauswe she didn't want to get into trouble and it won;t happen again as there will be no more birthday table and buy the dinner lady a present?

am i coming at this completeyl the wrong way? I have not been around so may have the wrong end of the stick.

OverRated · 08/12/2007 19:32

Oh no, Boco, more trouble . I haven't see the thread yet (will search in a min)

lol @ Toot's moustache but in a sympathetic way - I seem to have a similar problem but only on one side I had put it down to stress in the hope that if/when I am ever less stressed, it will cease to grow. Please tell me I am right.

I have to go and rummage around for my new cords that I appear to have lost. How can someone lose a pair of trousers ffs?

Hope everyone is ok.

TooTickyDoves · 08/12/2007 20:06

Phew. I thought nobody was speaking to me because of my revelation. OverRated - we shall be friends

FrannyandZooey · 08/12/2007 20:08

sorry TooT I hadn't seen the moustache - either on here on in real life

last year I found I had a mole round the side of my face that had 3 very long very black hairs in it. Nobody had seen fit to tell me about this.

I will go and play S.

Yes I don't doubt it at all Boco, just trying to express (badly) how completely bizarre and unlikely it is that people have behaved this badly to you and dd.

I have asked on the main board but I don't suppose anyone on here has adult animal costumes they could lend me have they? it is for kosher reason and nothing kinky
