For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Yes pink spotty wellies!! You got it!!

I had some lavender chutney at my friends house. It's lovely and very lemony.

Lavender and lemon? I can't imagine it at all. I had some lavender chocolate recently and it was a little odd - quite overpowering.

pinkspottywellies · 01/12/2007 21:07

TooT, why are you an Absolute Loon?

OP posts:
pinkspottywellies · 01/12/2007 21:08

It was quite nice but you'd only want a tiny bit at once. We had it with cheese and biscuits but I'm not sure that's the optimum way. I'll need to try it more.

I am an Absolute Loon because Franny said I was. Because I posted her socks back with 2 potatoes, an apple and an orange inside.

lol! I never used to do LOL but I lol so much on this thread

I have saved the seeds out of my butternut squash to eat. What do I need to do to them? When you get them in the shops are they dried or roasted or anything?

Everyone was a bit snitty on your thread TooT. Don't venture out there. Stay in the veggy bosum of 10/10

This is my comment on the coffee issue

I am very tired. Dp went out for an hour this afternoon and came back to find me under the duvet waving vaguely at ds who was happily weaving string or something

I dropped off to sleep about 2 secs after they went downstairs but was woken up 15 mins later by one of next door's children shouting "MUUMMMMMMMMMMYYYYYYYYY!" That real heart wrenching sort of cry that makes you think they are in extremis. Before I had woken up I was out of bed and running down stairs - I was convinced I had gone to bed and left ds alone in the house and that he had impaled himself on a skewer or something. I couldn't quite drop off back to sleep after that.

FrayedKnot · 01/12/2007 21:40

Oops, I've done it now, put my oar in on a sleeping through the night thread.

I must not jump in
I must not jump in
I must not jump in

And breathe.....

I have got the Christmas cards out and not written any.

FrannyandZooey · 01/12/2007 21:41

Oh our oars should go in if we want them to

I have noticed Avi being very forthright here there and everywhere these days

I like it

FrayedKnot · 01/12/2007 21:44

LOl Franny I had that on my desktop at work when I was kicking the habit...new boss came up and was trying to talk seriously to me and it was staring him in the face.

Me trying to remain demure and professional

pinkspottywellies · 01/12/2007 21:46

Avi is stonking at S$%*&le also. I want to boast about our game. Avi has only played 3 words and has 169 points. Modesty prevents me from saying what I have but it is MORE

southeastastra · 01/12/2007 22:31

f&z why don't you post on the general board no more?

Avi is stonking at scrabble. She's kicking my ass and so is Franny.

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 01/12/2007 22:52

ffs Avi you are scaring me now!

We have played 8 words and have 450 points between us

SEA this thread, and Scrabble, seem to keep me as occupied as I want to be atm. I do post on the main board when I feel like it.
