For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh, Froth. I hope the little pots of ginseng are useful. My friend with ME went to a support group and found it good. Lots of good vibes heading your way --------* like little Christmas decorations

I'm going on holiday!

I am going, on HOLIDAY!

SUN!

She just booked it. I've said i do want to pay her back in full, but she's happy for me to do it slowly over a while, so that's ok. And it's a dirt cheap holiday - we're all in one room which'll be interesting. But there will be sunshine and beach and swimming!

MrsCarrot · 30/11/2007 17:13

when, when?

TootTheAbsoluteLoon · 30/11/2007 17:24

Oh GOOD Boco I was hoping you'd go. Experiences are very important.

Boco · 30/11/2007 17:26

glad you decided to go boco!

hope you ripped up the pro/con list and said 'you only live once!'

btw

BBBee · 30/11/2007 18:50

oh boco - how glorious - I am so thrilled - you did not have one in the summer so this is so well deserved.

I have a new car - finally. It is green and my son has called it 'the toad' as in the cockney rhyming slang - which is funny, if not slightly smart arsey.

ahundredtimes - my course is three years, but after this term I am based half in bristol and half in the place I live so it will be better and the portion at univesrtity will get less and less as time goes on.

When trying to explain my course to my son i told him I was going to be a doctor but not like a medical docotr. He looked at me all wide eyed and siad "mummy are you going to be a time lord?" (as in doctor who) I was held in high regard for all of 20seconds whilst I explained. I have to livwe with the fact that i will never reach those heights again.

I have given my children marmite sandwiches in white bread for supper. I might make them eat a clementine.

I am tired.

Boco · 30/11/2007 18:51

Yes, list in bin. I keep glancing nervously at the bin.

Boco · 30/11/2007 18:53

hello Bee, things'll get easier soon then. That's good. And it's the weekend!

BBBee · 30/11/2007 18:53

(100 - boden wrap dresses came today - blue one divine and purple one makes me look like a am wearing jodphurs underneqath it as it is so wrongly fitted to my thighs.)

BBBee · 30/11/2007 18:54

yes - i don;t mean to moan on and on. I love my course. Boco what are you having for tea? Are you going to drink any wine? when did you last eat something containing refined sugar?

BBBee · 30/11/2007 18:55

oh look I am 10/10 police!

RobertSmithStoleMyLipstick · 30/11/2007 18:56

I lol @ time lord too. Actually I'd probably have said 'yes, I'm going to be a time lord.'

good news re blue dress. Have you tried the purple one with trousers under? I do this sometimes when I'm faffing about the wrap dress, somedays I think it helps, others not.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/11/2007 19:26

I really like the golden sequence too .

Your house must be very asthetically pleasing .

DH has gone out. Well, he hasn't come back home because he is Out In London.

I need to construct Playmobil advent calendars. DH said I couldn't until the last day of November and then he is out. I hope I am capable.

I am in some ways envious of the studying others are doing. Maybe I will do something. Sometime.

IdrisTheDragon · 30/11/2007 19:27

I am very glad you are going on holiday Boco. Where are you going?

frothykindofadrink · 30/11/2007 19:50

oh god Idris I am doing playmobil advent tonight

ours is bizarre ice-hockey scene

tbh am only doing it so dds don't fall out over Beautiful Wooden Advent Calendar

Boco · 30/11/2007 19:52

We've been given one too. Very obviously by a man who hasn't got children and wants to be a little boy again - it's some city scape, with what looks like roadworks.

Idris Tenerife.

BBBee · 30/11/2007 20:33

any 10/10ers going to mumsnet xmas do?

FrayedKnot · 30/11/2007 20:38

Oh thanks for reminding me, DS' advent claendar from his Granny is stuffed in a drawer somewhere

I have had a headache since 11.30 and alternate hot & cold spells. Had to take DS to a party at our local soft play place. He had a whale of a time and ate crap. I shivered and tried to make polite conversation to the parents.

I frightened people with my pea and chard soup at work today.

It was a very vivid green.

MrsCarrot · 30/11/2007 20:38

I thought Boco was

BBBee - you sound so busy. This is the first time I haven't been studying for years and I miss it a bit.

FrayedKnot · 30/11/2007 20:40

Oh yay Boco re the holiday!

Sun in January will be brilliant!

MrsCarrot · 30/11/2007 20:40

DC's have bigg old fashioned paper advent calenders with glitter on, but they can have a chocolate penny so they don't feel too left out from the chocolate munching hordes.
