For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I outed myself to a friend the other day. She was marvelous person helping me to tackle birthday table and is willing to write letters etc, and i really wanted to show her how everyone on mn had reacted to it all, and so i got the thread up and let her read it. She was astonished. And then today she asked if she could read it again, and i felt very odd having shown her who i am, like flashing or something. But actually i do trust her not to search or read other stuff, and everything i wrote was just how it is and she'll see that, so i think it's ok.

Boco yes it must have made you feel exposed

Boco · 21/11/2007 22:04

That was a very important post, i hope you read it twice.

FrannyandZooey · 21/11/2007 22:04

so come on, who was the first one there? and who was the second? what did you say to each other? what happened next?

Boco · 21/11/2007 22:07

I arrived with MrsC. The waiter had just told me that i couldn't go upstairs as it was a private party and had momentarily stumped me. Then i tried to go upstairs and smashed a pot.

When i got upstairs the first person i saw was FMF and i thought she was Franny, and i was puzzled because she wasn't quite as i'd thought, and then franny arrived and it made sense, but i was still puzzled because FMV wasn't FMV either, because she's supposed to have dark hair and be more jangly. Then i met everyone else.

FrannyandZooey · 21/11/2007 22:10

nono it is Greeny who is jangly

I thought FMF had the wrong colour hair as well, but I knew it was her

FrayedKnot · 21/11/2007 22:15

No-one called you by your real name?

I called you Franny several times, i am sure

FrayedKnot · 21/11/2007 22:16

When I got there, BBBee, Pink, FMF and Avi (I think) were there.

I owndered who got there first and what they thought when they did

Tatties · 21/11/2007 22:17

Evening

Well I was late, as usual. I can't be on time to save my life.

Hooray Psychobabble! (Will you tell Franny I recruited you so I can get a badge )

TooTicky · 21/11/2007 22:33

£5 notes in stockings? Not shiny pennies? Good grief!

I was going to say something very important about Christmas but I can't remember what it was.
I love hearing the Salvation Army playing carols.
I don't think I'm very good at magical though
A real Christmas tree-smelling Christmas tree is essential.
Last year the dcs decorated the Christmas cake with lots of playmobil animals. It was beautiful.

No FMF is jangly too - i confirmed this with her early on. She said she'd dressed conservatively to be on the safe side, but usually she's adorned with with pendants and general hanging down things. Strue.

Tatties · 21/11/2007 22:46

TooT the Playmobil cake sounds wonderful!

Boco · 21/11/2007 22:53

See!

FMF yes we were in hospital for christmas with dd2 too. We were in special care as she had rhesus disease - and i kind of forgot it was christmas in the blur of it, and santa claus had visited and left her a stocking with little things in, and a card for us - they'd taken a digital photo of her and made a little gold footprint and it was in this stocking and it was the best thing!

TooTicky · 21/11/2007 22:57

It was a fun cake and I had wild boar on the draining board for weeks afterwards.

I used to jangle. I had lots of silver rings and 7 earrings and a nose ring. I pierced it meself y'know. Rebel, me.
And now I am allergic to metal. Sigh.

Oh, and I used to live in a cloud of patchouli. And then a Spiritual Sky perfume called Nirvana. I suppose I am quite conservative now, except for the odd rainbow stripe.

Hello avi. I hope your morning goes all right.

IdrisTheDragon · 22/11/2007 06:10

The light bulb in here has just pinged. I am now typing in the dark. I am also the only person awake. Why I am awake when it is DS's birthday??

ha i thought franny was franny and then decided she wasn't and then wondered where franny was and eventually asked someone who franny was and she was franny

fullmoonfiend · 22/11/2007 08:52

TooTicky, I had my nose pierced when ds1 was born to 'celebrate'. Little realising the little imp would constantly be grabbing for the shiny thing in mummy's nose. After several months of a constantly swollen, red nose, I decided it wasn't that cool...
I still have secret stashes of rainbow stripes which emerge at festivals etc...
My son is always stealing my rainbow socks and armwarmers.

fullmoonfiend · 22/11/2007 08:53

Happy Birthday to the mini dragon

FrannyandZooey · 22/11/2007 09:03

Why on earth would FMF not dress as she usually does?

Who asked if I was me? I felt like I walked in and everybody went "a-HA here she is" while I was still looking round thinking "ooer, I don't know who YOU are". Perhaps that was in my head.

TooT I am really glad you don't stink of patchouli any more. You wouldn't have got an invitation back to the hotel put it that way

I am eating melon and grapes. We are invited to a new person's house for lunch. Crikey. Is it just me who gets nervous about things like this?
