For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

My memory is in decline, I have found. It is quite disconcerting.

MrsCarrot · 13/11/2007 13:45

some of them can be worked out etymologically but then you get a sneaky one that send you right back down the snake. Whoooosh.

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 13:47

Could it have been a benevolent friend or neighbour?

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 13:47

Memory? What's that?

VegetatingPossum · 13/11/2007 13:49

Lionheart, my memory for my work eg languages remains sound but I feel senile in all respects eg I can't remember where I've put DS's sjoes, and I left them somewhere an hour ago. Failure of short term memory and retention of long term memory is a sure sign of creeping old age...

But this is me lapsing into skullduggery-buggery-thingy apparently (i.e. gossip) and I must get back to the fruit and veg count.
And exercise diary.

lionheart · 13/11/2007 13:52

We had a conversation on here once about someone leaving little gifts in trees for children to find (like Boo Radley did).

I think it was FMF or someone.

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 13:52

Gossip is fine. I've only had a piece of toast and a small cake today. Oh yes, gossip is good

MrsCarrot · 13/11/2007 13:53

I just got a birthday card from Boco. Thank you

Toot - I e-mailed you this morning, did you get it?

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 13:53

That's a lovely idea Lionheart. There should be more magic. And less technology.

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 13:54

Yes MrsC, I have replied. Is it lost in the void?

lionheart · 13/11/2007 13:56

Yes, more magic.

ahundredtimes · 13/11/2007 14:01

TooT, I'm not coming to the shoe shop with you. I am not confident of being sufficiently Anne like. It won't go well, take IG. She dislikes all poncy aspects of Bath, and will blast at the assistant, and give her a telling-off.

I on the other hand will get distracted, and twirl about talking about 'darling shoes' and saying 'Oh how heavenly, I'll take six pairs of those.'

It'll be a disaster. Take IG.

I see. Just because I couldn't come for a bath you are going to remain elusive.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/11/2007 14:12

hello

lionheart · 13/11/2007 14:13

Hello, Idris. How are you?

TooTicky · 13/11/2007 14:14

Are you still tired?

ahundredtimes · 13/11/2007 14:20

She's fallen asleep.

FrannyandZooey · 13/11/2007 14:23
