Tequila gives you such a very spinny twangy kind of hangover doesn't it?

Actually I feel dandy considering I was sent to bed at three because the baby was crying and my feet were bleeding.

Dh is cooking mahoosive fried breakfast and I must help. Back later.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/11/2007 13:09

OOh Franny I have been very laxe on the GGBP front recently and did not realise that was there. Mmm (thinks about Christmas ).

lionheart · 11/11/2007 13:37

Who is AF? What kind of books?

FrannyandZooey · 11/11/2007 15:32

MrsC hoorah! Did it all go well?

lionheart, the most wonderful intelligent school / family stories. Absolutely perfect children's literature - can't recommend them highly enough.

I have eaten 2 satsumas and an apple. Not much else. We're going out for tea at Pizza Express and I am going to see if I can persuade them to do me a child's pizza and a half portion of salad again. This makes a fab meal for greedy people and means I don't have to choose between pizza and salad. I don't like choosing.

OP posts:
Boco · 11/11/2007 16:00

MrsC did you have a good evening?
Franny have a good meal, I like Pizza Express pizzas very much. I'd have a Soho i think.

We went to the remembrance day march in the village as dd1 had to march with Rainbows. It was freezing. DD2 liked the Salvation Army and applauded all the way through. The church service was long and both of them discussed food loudly, and dd2 posted a poppy down the back of the old lady in front, who was wearing a wig which of course dd1 noticed straight away Although it was in the big CofE church, the baptist minister did the sermon, and it was bizarre, all about 'the slimy one' and how many of our highschool children have had their hearts turned by Satan and are practicing Wica. I swear, i'm not making this up, it's more like Children of the Corn every fricking day round here.

Then i went to bed and dd2 went to sleep too which never happens, and was lovely. Afternoon sleeps are the best thing. DD1 was very kind and got on with writing a story.

fullmoonfiend · 11/11/2007 16:16

ooh Franny, can you order me a florentine (eggs and spinahc feels so wrong and tastes so right )

MrsCarrot · 11/11/2007 16:59

I had a very good evening thank you, apart from cutting my foot. It's most disconcerting to wake up in the morning and have to clean your own blood off the floor. It was everywere.

A jug had been broken at some point and I forgot this later and kicked off my shoes to dance and stood on a huge bit. I didn't feel it, someone else pointed out the blood. I was annoyed as I was enjoying the song so I danced on the towel that was left on the floor after the jug spillage.

I was dramatically patched up lying on the floor with my foot in the air, several friends crowding round examining the damage. It wasn't too bad but my foot was criss-crossed with green and yellow plasters this morning with one small but deep cut. I don't know where the plasters came from. I don't have green and yellow ones.

Then I was sent to bed which is probably a good thing as it was late. The cocktails were great but I dont think they were very orthodox in the end. I forgot to drink water but I had some before bed.

I had a bento box in the Japanese. It was so pretty. I want to go there again. Sigh.

MrsCarrot · 11/11/2007 17:00

Franny - make mine a Parmense with a green salad, please.

FrayedKnot · 11/11/2007 17:37

Ouch MrsC!

But to not have noticed teh pain must have meant you were having a very good time

Boco you sound nicely rested

I didn;t wake up 'til 9 this morning

DS was still asleep

We had lunch out (huge roast with 3 veg) and I had a pear and treacle tart (not much pear in it, I don;t think)

We then went to walk it off at the beach, which was lovely as it had stopped raining and was even sunny at one point.

Don;t think I could manage to stuff in a pizza just now

littlerach · 11/11/2007 18:14

What on earth went on here last night?

Can i tell you all about soem of dh's relatives who I've never met before, who visited us today, and I actually liked them.

I feel good about this.

And, they liked me

And, his aunt thought I was 25 bigger .

We discussed the power of Tesco, and the uselessness of councils for recycling, and that they grow their own fruit and veg.

And they brought a book for each of the dds,a nd chocolates6 and wine^ for me.

I may adopt them for dds to have as grandparents. their sons don't have families, so I'm sure they'd agree.

Do i need to mention fruit etc to be included here?!
Or just boats and islands and strange things

AitchTwoOh · 11/11/2007 18:22

see, here's the thing. i'd like to hang out on this thread for the larks but i can't be arsed with all the veg. Confused

Hello piratical people.

Have had loads in the way of carrots, peas, parsnips, raisons, smoothies, beans.

Ouch, ouch MrsC.

(Franny, thanks, I will look at them for presents for nieces.)

FrannyandZooey · 11/11/2007 18:57

nono we are all back to veg and no larks tomorrow

we need a new serious title to reflect our sombre commitment to fibre, and our turning away from the path of unrighteousness and island hijinx

and Aitch you should come and join us and eat beans. You would like it.

FrannyandZooey · 11/11/2007 19:00

Lionheart how old are nieces? These are a bit more challenging than Malory Towers for instance

MrsC how very louche and wild it sounds. Good on you.

If we all like Pizza Express so much why aren't we going there for the meet up I wonder? Ah well. I had a child's mushroom pizza with artichokes, and a salad with every ruddy thing I could find. And banoffee pie which was less good than usual, but still nice.

LittleRach, that is wonderful

Dd1 and ds2 marched in the remembrance parade today and looked very smart indeed. Ds2 was the smallest marcher and his hat and jumper looked quite big.

Ds1 had another bad night but not as bad. I have told him that he is staying at home tomorrow no matter what so he can be totally honest about how he is feeling.
