For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

are you just doing maragritas or are you doing a long cocktail too?

MrsCarrot · 10/11/2007 19:01

Ah, Bee, thank you, lon cocktails? No, I think DH is doing martinis and something else with a large bottle of champagne. I am having nothing to do with that though

Franny - yes, water, I must drink it.

I think I just re-pierced my ear

Boco · 10/11/2007 19:01

MrsC have a lovely time, poke the bits in they'll be fine.

Hello Bee, how are you? Are you rested?

MrsCarrot · 10/11/2007 19:03

I have triple sec not cointroooo whatever. is that ok?

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:05

oh you don;t need to know about margaritas then!

It will be lovely - you will have a wonderful time - it is hard to go wrong with cocktails - just make sure you don;t spend the whole evening drinking what is essentailly neat spirits!

The champagne one will be lovely.

Happy birthday sugar - the 30's rock! So much more content in my 30's than my 20's - a lot less angst and a lot more innner calm.

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:06

contriaeu is brand name of a make of triple sec - triple sec is more correct.

(like saying tampax instead of tampon mooncup)

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:08

hello lovely boco

yes am a bit rested. Went to visit sister today and so forced myself to do a big drive. A feeling a little more sane.

How are you? I liked reading aboutyour brother's girlfriend but I can see how she is a bit wearing.

Actually I think I might fancy your brother - that is weird of me isn;t it. Probably should delte that...

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:12

I am feeling needy so I am contemplating buying myself these choclate enrobed kirsch soaked cherries. They are riduclously expensive and it would be very wrong of me. Please encourgae me.

100 - if you have mushy peas with the fish and chips it feels virtuous.

ahundredtimes · 10/11/2007 19:13

Ooooh MrsC, have a fab, fab time. I bet you look fantastic. I bet everything will be great.

Do you still need cocktail advice?

ahundredtimes · 10/11/2007 19:15

Well they had pesto spaghetti instead, because I didn't want to make him eat greasy chips and battered fish if he didn't like it.

BBee - buy the chocolate. You deserve it.

Boco · 10/11/2007 19:15

I've had several friends give him the glad eye.

He's quite charming, but so unreliable. DD1 has written him a letter - it's here.. It says

'Deer Unkal Jake, I am very very very very angry with you. Why do you always not come, you sed you wood come but you didnt come. We wonted you to come. Why didnt you come?
Lots of angrynus from dd1.

Then in huge letters it says I AM VERY ANGRY. Then there's a picture of her being angry and it says 'my angry fase.'

Then there is a line of kisses.

She also phoned him and said 'i have decided i don't like you anymore. When are you coming to stay?'

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:15

oh can we do cocktail advice?

100 - what did you have? a huge battered sausage and large chips and curry sauce?

ahundredtimes · 10/11/2007 19:18

No, no, no I had to cook for them. Imagine! They are going to watch a James Bond film with popcorn in their pjs. I hope that's okay. I don't know. I said 'do you have nightmares?' to him, but in rather an abrupt way, though I was smiling, and he widened his eyes and said 'I dunno.'

DS2 says his friends say I am scary. I don't know whether I mind this or not. I am trying not to be scary tonight as his parents are in Paris and he can't go home, even if he wants to.

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:18

oh I see re: pesto.

Boco I don;t know why I fancy your brother I have never met him or know anything about him. #

I am on my new laptop downstairts adn DP has set up a wireless connection but I think it might make my posts come late - like when they used to talk to someone in US on the news and there was a delay.

ahundredtimes · 10/11/2007 19:19

DD's letter is rather moving. Are you going to send it? He might think it's from his girlfriend, I bet she shows him her angry face a lot.

Boco · 10/11/2007 19:20

Asking someone if they have nightmares while smiling sounds a little like a threat. I'd say that was scary.

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:20

james bond is fine - I can;t think it is very nightmare inducing. they will love it and you even if you are scary and shout 'do you have nightmares' close up in their tiny innocent faces.

fullmoonfiend · 10/11/2007 19:20

Oh swooon, I wish I were having a cocktail party. Instead of barking at boys who are intent on bouncing on my bed and undoing all my hard tidying handiwork.

I love cocktails but, as Franny says, do drink lotsa water, tis very easy to get horribly carried away with all those lovely, innocuous tasting drinkies...

Have a fantastic evening!

fullmoonfiend · 10/11/2007 19:21

does this thread spontaneously combust in about 6 posts....??

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:21

boco I loved the letter - I love dd and her amazing imaginationa nd emotions - i love it.

I laughed outloud at 100 saying he might think it is from girlfriend which is wrong and bad as I am meant to be working not laughing nad buying chocolates.

ahundredtimes · 10/11/2007 19:21

Yes. I know. I'm not great with other children tbh, except the ones I am great with, then I'm REALLY great, if you see what I mean.

I am sitting here - when I said I wouldn't - waiting to make popcorn, thinking of MrsC and swishy top and cocktail party.

BBBee · 10/11/2007 19:22

oh no - do something someone - I can't I am hardly ever here and it will go wrong!

FRANNY!!!!!

HELP US WE ARE GOING TO FALL!!!!

Boco · 10/11/2007 19:23

Oh quick what shall we have?
Like a combination of fmfs and zippis - 'Plump up the yam, til your beet are stompin', and the jam is pumpkin'

zippitippitoes · 10/11/2007 19:27

I don't think i suggested anythoing did i except rem nescafe on ice etc and no one noticed abiout 3 weeks ago

Boco · 10/11/2007 19:29
