For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

bOCO - photo, please.

The hall, Franny, sounds very stressful. Sympathy.

pinkspottywellies · 19/10/2007 21:24

I don't know what kind of flu it is. It's not really bad I just feel achy and my chest hurts and my head's all bunged up I'm never ill so when I am I don't know what to do

I found more blackberries yesterday [wan smile]

FrayedKnot · 19/10/2007 21:24

What are all the threads about lesbiens and golden loos about? is there some connecton?

Mrs C I pretended not to look

Franny, phone the bookings person.

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:27

Yes! Someone is 1/2 cntimetre bigger than me. Frayedknot - did you see?

PSW - Yoou muste gargle cider vinegar.

FrannyandZooey · 19/10/2007 21:27

FK if I go in all dambusters I could lose my booking altogether. Hall hire man is quite capable of lying about what I have said and done - he did it before and some priest I have never spoken to before or since rang me up incensed to tell me off!!

also can you imagine how the phone call will go?

"Hello I am someone else who books the X hall. The hall hire man has double booked it, and your booking is overlapping with mine, and I booked first, but he doesn't want to tell you this. Can you please change your booking?"

MrsC are you measuring?

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:30

yes

FrayedKnot · 19/10/2007 21:31

Don;t like the sound of Hall man one bit.

Do you have anything in writing

ahundredtimes · 19/10/2007 21:32

You see I think it must be me, but that conversation sounds perfectly reasonable to me.

It is me. Foxy has very diplomatically pointed out to me that my interpersonal skills might be somewhat lacking. It is on that basis that I went to make up with ds2's teacher.

I shouldn't be let out. Or else I should be released only on certain missions. I'll call the man for you. Then you'll never work in that hall again. . . .

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:39

100x - can we talk sometimes about learning difficulties and private schools? Maybe not now, I've had a bit of wine. Is your ds dyspraxic or dyslexic?

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:40

sometime

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:40

as opposed to occasionally punctuating the conversation

FrannyandZooey · 19/10/2007 21:41

well I bloody hope it doesn't come to that 100 but it may

MrsC I have measured too now but I want to keep it private. At some point this week I shall say a number to you and wink. Then you will know.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 19/10/2007 21:45

Yes MrsC anytime you like. DS2 is dyspraxic - I think, I actually have a few acronyms to play with, SpLD (which is the Dys's) and DCD - developmental coordination disorder, which is basically dyspraxia, except they don't diagnose Dyspraxia.

What an answer. Sorry.

Though there are lots of similiar issues to do with the dys's - dyslexia, dyspraxia, dyscaulia, dysgraphia.

Have I read too many books on this? Oh ho ho ho.

Lullabyloo · 19/10/2007 21:46

at you lot

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:46

Oh, yes please, Franny. I am always pleased to meet a fellow saucer tit.

FrannyandZooey · 19/10/2007 21:46

Well your interpersonal skills on here are very engaging

I am writing poetry about you all on the other thread. You should all come on there because you are funnier than the others.

FrannyandZooey · 19/10/2007 21:47

MrsC they are quite retiring now. But I tell you they were Impressive.

Thank you, 100x, I am in the midst of school/ds1/doctors/dyslexia/ed psych/crisis but can't go into it now. You are probably relieved.

DH was diagnosed with dyspraxia at school but then they called it minimal brain damage. That is actually on his school report, I have seen it.

ahundredtimes · 19/10/2007 21:52

Not relieved at all, would LOVE to talk about it now. Oh gawn, can't we?

Let's do it. Yes, someone said something a bit like that to me re dyspraxia. I like the Clumsy Child thing because it sounds more friendly, but one person said, 'think stroke victim' and I didn't like that SO much.

DS2 not severely dyspraxic, I should add. It is all on a spectrum, and I know one boy who has difficulty walking.

lionheart · 19/10/2007 21:55

A small parting gift before I go and check out the waves (and other unlikely stuff).

Keep well, 10/10ers.

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:56

Yes, my friend has a son with dyspraxia who is statemented now and he has trouble walking, well, sort of walks on tiptoes.

MrsCarrot · 19/10/2007 21:57

have fun, lionhart!

ahundredtimes · 19/10/2007 21:59

Have you been to see Ed Psych yet? Isn't your ds same age as ds1 - or am I wrong - I think he's 9 or 10, no?

FrannyandZooey · 19/10/2007 22:03

oh, sorry, I mean, well, if no-one else wanted it?
