For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I don't actually like tomatoes that much, I never have done. They taste better than the shop bought ones, but I am never ecstatic about them

FrannyandZooey · 08/10/2007 22:39

sorry if you were expecting me to have more than one go at Scrabble a day - you should know better

zippitippitoes · 08/10/2007 22:40

look on the bright side franny surely it was better than children of men or the trench

FrannyandZooey · 08/10/2007 22:41

I don'r know what those are zippi

I watch about 3 films a year so it is disappointing when one turns out to be so unsettling and, well, grim

it was very clever and all that but I wanted HAPPY

FrannyandZooey · 08/10/2007 22:42

oh wombling I can't see it

I think you need 100 to trouble shoot it for you

womblingalong · 08/10/2007 23:01

Ticked the box, and added most of you to mumsnet mates, don't know what else to do, have resaved them now. Fingers crossed it works now. Anyone?

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 08:08

Sorry it didn't work, wombling. 100 might know. 100 what was it that made yours work in the end?

Holly with violet will look a bit eccentric, I think. I would go for it.

I am eating mango. Mmmm, taste those food miles.

TooTicky · 09/10/2007 08:17

Eccentric? I have to bear in mind that I will be wearing these every day for the forseeable future. So I'm thinking I should be cautious perhaps. It's my turn to be high maintenance. Franny has birthdays, I have decisions.

I am eating an apple with my muesli.

TrickorTatties · 09/10/2007 09:09

Wombling, you need to make at least one picture visible to all, and the rest visible to MN mates.

lionheart · 09/10/2007 09:23

Good morning.

I didn't get to the end of the Sunshine film so may have missed the point. Didn't like it.

Zippi he sounds swoonsome

F&Z and anyone else - on no account watch Children Of Men. It is shite grim and depressing.

May I recommend Little Miss Sunshine as a fantatstic film, Really, really funny in a black way.

Also my new favourite film ever is one none of you will have heard of but it is totally uplifting - The World's Fastest Indian starring Anthony Hopkins. It's hard to describe but DPs/DHs will enjoy it too - it's not a 'chick film rom com', more a quirky road trip against all odds sort of thing. Even though it's (loosely) about motorbikes, don't be put off. I laughed, cried, hid behind my cushion and whooped with joy, all in one film.

womblingalong · 09/10/2007 09:38

morning all

tatties, thanks, should be there now

fullmoonfiend · 09/10/2007 09:44

Aw Wombling, beautiful children (you're not bad yourself

FrannyandZooey · 09/10/2007 09:50

Ah wombling, I've seen the ones of the dcs before haven't I? The one of ds on a blanket really reminds me of one I have of ds, as I think I said. Lovely one of you.

TooT I would not go for holly and violet unless I was planning to be a little bit eccentric. What about holly and the blue one? I have forgotten your alternatives? Give us your 5 top choices and we will all vote.
