For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

We have a fig tree in our garden. I think it might produce figs.

And a peach tree.

Boco · 08/10/2007 14:11

Idris, how did you get that picture on your profile page? I don't understand computers. I wanted to post my rabbit picture - i can get the html code - then what do i do with it?

lionheart · 08/10/2007 14:23

I thought you were going to be Boo-co.

Boco · 08/10/2007 14:41

Well i did consider it, but you can't have a - , so it'd be Booco, which isn't really very obvious.

My favourite so far has been something like 'meltingandscreamingicarus.' Hahaha! It's good.

100x could be 'saycandymanahundredtimesandthengeteatenbyaclown

I think that works.

How about undeadBOCOwithbitsfallingoff

lionheart · 08/10/2007 14:45

Can't you be plain old BooRadley?

MrsCarrot · 08/10/2007 14:50

I need to get on with some things and not mill around on here all day at the moment. Lst night I finally went to my writing group that I have avoided for months, in fact have barely written a thing apart from mnet since I finished mY MA. Sooooo, if I stay off for a bit maybe I can get started again.

I have not eaten any fruit and veg today.

Au revoir for now.

Boco · 08/10/2007 14:52

MrsC, we'll miss you, but it sounds like a sensible move. I should do the same really. Are you shunning fruit and vegetables too? Will they just remind you of us and then you'll miss us too much? You will have to stick to dairlylea sandwiches for a bit, til it fades.

Good luck with the writing.

lionheart · 08/10/2007 14:53

Wait a sec, before you go, scrabble will help warm you up for the writing.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/10/2007 14:55

Boco - I only just found how to do it - you can do it with any picture. There's somewhere on the putting pictures on profile part where you can say you want it on the first page. I will investigate.

Lullabyloo · 08/10/2007 14:56

i have made italian veg stew for supper >

IdrisTheDragon · 08/10/2007 15:01

OK, you go to the setting up your profile part. Whatever picture you want needs to be your picture gallery, in the normal adding pictures bit.

Then on the main profile page there's a part that says "do you want to add a picture from your gallery to your main profile page" or something like that and there it is.

The picture I have I got from Google Images and saved it to my computer, so I could upload it in the normal way.

IdrisTheDragon · 08/10/2007 15:01

I am eating a banana. This is about as preenful as I can manage today.

Boco · 08/10/2007 15:08

Thank you Idris - so i have to figure out how to get the html code thing into a saveable picture.

TooTicky · 08/10/2007 16:35

MrsC ! And I want tp know what you are writing

FrayedKnot · 08/10/2007 17:05

Au revoir MrsC

I sometimes limit myslef to one post a day on here when I've got otehr stuff to do..

I have done some walking today

Pushing DS on his trike and manhandling a large bag of cat food at the same time

I went to see if I could get my Dennis Healy eyebrows sorted today and usually they do it there and then, but there was a new receptionist there who was rather stern and made me book an appointment

I am very beetly

TrickorTatties · 08/10/2007 17:25

MrsC I do know what you mean though. We will miss you but it is good to have a break every now and then, especially if you are feeling as you are. Sometimes I find it works well if I just don't switch on the computer until the evening when ds is in bed.

TooT I am of your connections, even if you did bad-mouth poor old Mozza

FrannyandZomble · 08/10/2007 18:07

Oh MrsC. Can you please come on a little bit, just a weeny teeny little bit? It won't be nearly as nice without you on here. And you could have been MrsCushing for Halloween

The people aren't coming, now.

ahundredtimes · 08/10/2007 18:11

MrsC you get my first or one of them anyway.

However, I think you're doing the right thing. You are funny and soulful and I like the way you write. So you should put it in a story, not on MN for us. The larger public deserve you more.

And NO don't come on in the evenings. You have a 9 month-old, you'll have to write then, and in nap times.

Good for you. Do it. And other cheerful rallying cries.

I just told ds1 he was an arse. It felt quite good. I said 'no you haven't been banned because you didn't do your homework, you have been banned because you were being an arse.' He laughed.

God, it's such a good word.

FrannyandZomble · 08/10/2007 18:14

LOL arse does seem to sum up so much shoddy behaviour but without being shockingly negative or judgy

FrannyandZomble · 08/10/2007 18:16

however I feel we are quite a large adoring public on here and there are how many thousand lurkers besides? The audience for MrsC on here is not to be so easily dismissed IMO

I can write pithy reviews of your posts each Sunday if it would help?

TrickorTatties · 08/10/2007 18:16

Franny are you disappointed about people not coming now?

lionheart · 08/10/2007 18:20

Are there lurkers?

ahundredtimes · 08/10/2007 18:27

I am chipper. I have had a good day, and am going to see Michael Clayton at the movies tonight, AND having a pizza before. Hurrah.

Also, I need to tell you all now - ds2's birthday party is on Sunday. We are not through it yet. There is another cake to make, another cake to go wrong.

Fgs. What was the matter with us? We must have only been fertile every other year in January.

It's awful. AND then dh is 40. AND he is having THREE parties - or three separate celebrations anyway.

Boco · 08/10/2007 18:34

Blimey 100, i'm getting a new mental image of you now!

Do you really think there are lurkers? How many? 2? I don't believe it.

Lullabyloo · 08/10/2007 18:55

lol 100x

ooooooooo...dont say lurkers >
i may run away
