For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Hello. DH has returned .

I am off tomorrow. And return on Thursday.

I had carrots earlier on.

IdrisTheDragon · 02/10/2007 21:49

I feel my post fits right in here.

Except I did mention the v word.

Boco · 02/10/2007 21:57

I will force myself not to make the smutty comment i just deleted.

My theory is on Thursday. 50 questions now! 50! And the hazard perception. Tomorrow is art club. I was fine about it until the teacher told me today that the head is sitting in on it. I don't think she likes me at all - since the whole birthday table thing, and having her watches makes it far less enjoyable.

Bee glad it's going well.

toots, have you got a nice neighbour who could let you have a bath?

Boco, have you got the computer disc things for the theory test? I found them v. helpful. Might still have them... but time is short.

Boco · 02/10/2007 22:34

Roger the doger let me borrow his - but i have a mac so it doesn't work. Must read highway code book. God it's boring.

TooTicky · 02/10/2007 22:40

Glory be! Dp managed to coax some warmth from the highly illogical shower. Feel much less snappy now.

lionheart · 02/10/2007 22:45

Boco, don't be smutty.

womblingalong · 02/10/2007 22:54

Hello Wombling How's little one?

I had a cold shower a few days ago out of desperation and it made my breathing go all gaspy. Horrid.

TooTicky · 03/10/2007 00:06

Have you all gone to bed? I am painting caterpillars.

FrannyandZombie · 03/10/2007 08:08

Morning

it is drizzling and I feel like Madame Bovary

FrannyandZombie · 03/10/2007 08:09

HAH! slightly pretentious post even for me

womblingalong · 03/10/2007 08:37

DS is getting better, put on a pound in 7 days when I started on solids, and think that he's put on close to another this week. Seeing Paed tomorrow, so will know more then. The meds are a pita to give though.

How is HE going?

womblingalong · 03/10/2007 08:38

How so Franny?

lionheart · 03/10/2007 09:09

It's a beautiful day here. Perfectly still.

zippi, you didn't tell us about your holiday.

You must be chuffed, wombling.

FrannyandZombie · 03/10/2007 13:05

I was bored with my suburban bourgeois existence and wanted Rodolphe to come and elope with me. I'm over it now.

Have eaten apples and pears.

FrannyandZombie · 03/10/2007 13:06

Wombling does he still seem much happier, as well as gaining weight? You must be delighted.

Boco · 03/10/2007 13:49

Franny i read that as you were bored with bourgeois existence so you ate your stairs. It's me cockerney roots.

Zippi, please tell us stuff.

Wombling, that's such good news you must be really relieved.

Back from art club. I think it went well. I did manage to persuade teacher to go away.

Kids all bigger and louder than i'd expected - used to a tame 5 year old, and these were all ten.

It was strange but the boys were so much easier and more polite than the girls. They took it all really seriously and were very earnest. The girls were flirty and shouty and really just wanted to yell at the boys - i was surprised.

They did their drawing and it was ok, but then i taught them how to draw cubes and cylinders and they all got it and were really excited, and then that was great and they started drawing machines out of cylinders and cubes and being all amazed that they could do it and then it was great and i walked home all energised.
