For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I couldn't be a plumber. People might have dogs.

FrannyandZombie · 05/10/2007 23:03

Oh god yes I did avi. What possessed you?

TooT are you phobic about dogs? Is there a single normal human being ON this thread?

TooTicky · 05/10/2007 23:03

I drank v. heavily from age 15 - 18. Was quite difficult to find who I was without it.

I am still trying to find out. The other effect is that you more or less stop maturing at the age you start drinking. I reckon I've got to about 19

TooTicky · 05/10/2007 23:05

Not phobic, just Extremely Cautious. We have been barked at a lot recently and it's not good for me.

Oh avi, what a shame. I love Christmas and we selfishly always have it alone. That was very kind of you. Are you regretting it?

Maturing? What's that?

FrannyandZombie · 05/10/2007 23:07

I don't like dogs either, but ds loves them, so I am having to get used to them. They do make him so happy that I feel quite fond of the nicer ones. When he was having his big existential crisis about what would happen if I died etc etc, one of the things he came up with was:

"Mummy, if you died I would cry and cry and be very sad for a long time."

Me: "Yes."

Ds: "But then I would feel better, and then me and Daddy could get a DOG!"

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 23:07

BBee - I think you should buy him chocolates or if you find his address from the police, perhaps just write him a letter of thanks telling him how great he was. And send him a pot plant. No, not a pot plant.

Erm. A letter. A letter will be very touching and will mean a great deal.

Send him a photo of your collarbones. That will be thanks enough.

TooTicky · 05/10/2007 23:09

Loofahs are no problem. I only get uneasy if I think other people may hurt them. Or if they may get hurt by accident. Or frightened. Did you know they are prone to heart attacks?
Oh, and I have guilt! I was taking a peg off the washing line last year and as I squeezed the ends together, something POPPED

Get her to sweep the wooden floors with a birch brush, then shoo the chickens out of the vegetable patch.

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 23:09

I'm a bit worried about you BBee. The after-shock of car crashes are worse than the actual thing I think.

Have you had bad dreams?

What can we do for you? Are you worried about getting in the car again?

Or are you feeling okay?

Shit, can we really not discuss loofahs, please. I mean you can say the name and stuff, but the peg thing is really too much

FrayedKnot · 05/10/2007 23:11

Boco when my inlaws stayed last weekend I spent quite a long time "checking my e-mails" whilst casually chatting over the top of my laptop

I am sure you do have chickens. They walk across that vast floor, clucking gently

TooTicky · 05/10/2007 23:13

What's wrong with your hose Avi?
