For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I think MrsC is hoist by her own petard of stated dislike for Scrabble. I do this all the time and then make a last minute run for it when I see the bus is leaving.

See how Scrabble has improved my use of metaphor?

I love the woods pictures. I want to find a wood to go into this afternoon with DS and DD. I think I have found one (with access from a layby frequented by truckers (according to a website)).

I am too far into my own parentheses.

MrsCarrot · 05/10/2007 12:12

Oh, but I love scarbble, I do.

But I refuse to run for the bus.

IdrisTheDragon · 05/10/2007 12:14

This wood has a Dormouse walk .

I think I prefer being a Mummy to an accountant at the moment. I am a better Mummy at the moment I think (than accountant).

Sorry, I am wittering on to myself. Having a crisis of confidence thing about working mummy-hood. And just generally. Argh.

IdrisTheDragon · 05/10/2007 12:18

Our car is having a new gear box today. It went into garage with a funny sound in the dashboard and they feel a new gearbox will sort it. All under warrenty though, so is OK.

TooTicky · 05/10/2007 12:25

Mummy confidence is a delicate thing.

IdrisTheDragon · 05/10/2007 12:30

Hello TooT .

I feel OK about Mummy-dom at the moment. Just the working part that is a bit at the moment. Oh well, Friday is a nice day with no work .

At least you can rock in the knowledge that you know your crossings.

IdrisTheDragon · 05/10/2007 12:34

That sounds painful Boco.

Boco · 05/10/2007 12:41

I do! There was a question - what type of crossing allows both pedestrians and cyclists to cross. a) zebra b)puffin c)toucan d)pelican.

So who remembers?

Idris, can you just quit your job? Work is over rated. Being skint is rubbish, but working when you don't want to is worse. Can you leave and go back in a couple of years when you'll really want to?

MrsCarrot · 05/10/2007 12:46

gosh, I can't remember, pelican?

Boco · 05/10/2007 12:48

Nope.

See, it's quite silly really - no body has a clue.

Boco · 05/10/2007 12:55

100x is a person, she's also called Anne. She's sensible and gives robust advice. She eats brie and drinks coffee.

You'll be fine, park your horn. We are all completely normal. Right?

We are all normal .

MrsCarrot · 05/10/2007 13:09

oh, yes, you'll fit right in, TR, here, have some quinoi, or some crying chocolate. Can you drive?

Boco - what is it then? I got one wrong in the test, can't rememeber what it was though.

Boco · 05/10/2007 13:23

It's toucan.

I suddenly realised dd2 had been amusing herself with her toothbrush and a tube of toothpaste. I took a photo but in fact you can't really see the toothpaste on her. However, as she was grinning so much, and as I managed to load the photo all by myself, she's on my profile...

Lullabyloo · 05/10/2007 14:27

she is gorgeous toot

went to music group this morning..ds was overjoyed to be back again after long summer break.However...I felt like storming out as my friend with two special needs children turned up to be told her place had been given up as she had not rung to 'rebook' she is going through a really very tough time & this was just the final straw
I was so & & welling up...but couldn't persuade the organiser to make an exception & couldn't leave to support her as ds was sitting patiently on his mat beaming, bashing his drum & waiting to start..
I feel like a crap friend today

I have had quinoa pilaf with lots of spinach, rocket & watercress & a punnet of blueberries.

Lullabyloo · 05/10/2007 15:15

where is everybody????????

Have promised a friend that I would cater for her little girl's party in a few weeks
I t turns out to be an all girls (25 of them) pink,fairy/princess party (+ ds) with princess entertainer, face painting etc

So.....food has to be pink,dainty & girlie......hmmmmmmm

pink champagne, scones, cream & strawberry jam & pink macaroons for the mummies.....now for the children

gosh....pink is all rather icky & sickly....
I think ds will have to bring his own box of houmus & veggies & a pair of pink wings as a token gesture
