For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I shall post from OUTSIDE the door today until this room has been thoroughly checked for loofahs

we shall use our MN names, of course. I can't think of any that are really embarrassing and only a few that don't sound like they could be genuine, ordinary names or nicknames. We are Franny, Avi, Bee, MrsC, Boco, Pink, Lully, Filthy.... ah. I see what you mean. . FMF could we call you Moony? Just for the day? Or maybe just "F" would be safer....

oh arse TooT I have forgotten to go, haven't I?

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 10:25

Franny, Avi - go and talk to Claire Scott who has popped up on the CV on Radio 5 thread. She's the slinging, continuum concept person. Go on, it's only me there and I haven't got a clue what it's all about anyway.

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 10:26

She's just said '100x tee hee' and I'm smiling at her politely and shuffling my feet about and trying to rustle up some people to talk to her. GET OVER THERE.

I can't take the social responsibility of making her tea. I'll start talking about SIL again and it'll all go wrong.

ahundredtimes · 05/10/2007 10:39

Oh dear Franny, don't come now because i've just said I find your heuristic baskets depressing. I am making polite conversation - it's gone a bit wrong - I only find them depressing because it's a shame that people need to be told to give their children odds and sods to play with in a box.

TrinityRhino · 05/10/2007 10:41

Good morning
I'm not one of you wonderful veg and fruit eaters so I hope you don't mind me dropping in.
I just felt the need to say I think it is a wonderful idea what you are doing and I hope to join in (if you'll have me) when I can get my head sorted and wake up without wanting to run away.

Also the thread titles you have are just totally amazingly brilliant and funny

BBBee · 05/10/2007 10:41
