For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I wear quite a lot of khaki. It blends me nicely into the background.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 22:26

Ds's room is painted one of my most favourite colours which is a very very deep slightly purpley indigo

I think it is called smelt. No, not smelt? Can it be? SMALT? I think it is smalt. It is just gorgeous.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:28

Yes, it is.

Are you living somewhere woodsy, TooT?

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 22:33

Oh dear, I have always disliked purple. I really don't fit in here do I? Always makes me think of popes and effeminate kings and oh, I have nothing purple never have.

Ds2's favourite colour is orange. He wants to paint his entire room orange. We are negotiating on one wall. I pointed out to him that Van Gogh said orange was the colour of madness and that if you look at it long enough you will see his point. And he said 'YOU are mad'. He was quite right.

His room remains unpainted. I am waiting for him to say 'my favourite colour is now farrow&ball string.'

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:34

No, just countryish. But khaki is a good blendy colour anywhere. Although army trucks do make me laugh, when they drive through a town with all their netting and pretend leaves - I just want to shout, "I can SEE you!"

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 22:36

Oh no 100 orange is fab

heva you read Brian Keenan? hold on...

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:36

Did you know that there is such a colour as Wild Beige?

Look, what shall I do about this raw flapjack thing? Just make it up? The boys need something that isn't another sodding raisin pancake or drop scone for their lunchboxes tomorrow.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:36

I don't like it, or orange. They are fertility colours together, no?

DC's rooms are quite plain. Actually no that's a lie, dd's is pale green with one wall of roses, that's nice. Ds1's is plain but covered in posters.

I like farrow and ball but we used eco paint in the end. They matched f and b's teeal for my dining room.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:37

I don't think I've ever worn khaki.

What's your colour 100?

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 22:39

"But wait. My eyes are almost burned by what I see. There?s a bowl in front of me that wasn?t there before. A brown button bowl and in it some apricots, some small oranges, some nuts, cherries, a banana. The fruits, the colours, mesmerise me in a quiet rapture that spins through my head. I am entranced by colour. I lift an orange into the flat filthy palm of my hand and feel and smell and lick it. The colour orange, the colour, the colour, my God the colour orange. Before me is a feast of colour. I feel myself begin to dance, slowly. I am intoxicated by colour. I feel the colour in a quiet somnambulist rage. Such wonder, such absolute wonder in such an insignificant fruit"

LOL when I was searching for the quote the top google result was a review I had written of his book. The internet is pleasingly and scarily circular.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:40

Beige can let it all hang out sometimes, I'm sure.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 22:41

To wear?

erm . .black, brown, green. I like green.

I also like white shirts very much.

I am a chess board.

But I do have colourful shoes. I think I look a bit drab actually. I might go and look into colour - but I worry I'm too old to be flitting about in pink and turquoise?
I have a very nice red coat, but I don't wear it often. It has black buttons.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:43

I have a black coat with red buttons. One is missing though, it got caught n the fence and fell into the gorilla enclosure at the zoo.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:44

it was ok because it was the pocket so I snipped the other one off too.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:45

Green is my favourite, I wear a lot of green, some days we are all in green I have to be careful. My faveourite coat though, is yellow brocade, sort of like a curtain.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 22:46

Oh MrsC. If I was coming to meet-up I would insist we both wear our coats.

Franny - yes, I do see that if you had been incarcerated for years and years without sight or sound of colour, then an orange would look marvellous. If however you had to live with it all around you all the time, then you would probably burst into tears and cut your ear off.

OH and 3andnomore - yes be an OT. I'd quite like to be an OT - but would probably be considered unsuitable. YES DO THAT. D2s OT said to him on our last visit, 'I like being an OT because I get to play all day' and ds2 said, 'Yes I can see that.'

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:47

raw flapjack? Can it be done? Will it fall to bits?

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 22:48

Oh god, you're asking me TooT? I am the last person who would know this.

MrsC, MrsC are you about?

erm. . .use alot of syrup? Set them in the fridge?

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:50

You aren't coming then? I'm not surpried I suppose. I will wear a coat I expect but which one. I need a new one. I have a green one, a black one, a red one, a blue one and a yellow one. Maybe white?

Toot - I don't think it will work, unless they have a spoon?

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:50

Well, they can set overnight. If they will set, that is.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:51

MrsC you should be more careful when visiting the zoo.

I wonder if the gorilla found a use for the button.

Perhaps it had a treasure basket which needed some colour.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:51

What if I grilled them?

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:51

Can they have a maryland cookie just one day?

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:52

I was careful, Linhart, it was a scraggy fence. I imagine it ate it and then pooed it straight out.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:54

That's how art is made in some quarters.

How about a little hobnob?
