For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I had purple hair at one point

ds is that way about orange. He always preferred it, from when he was about 9 months old he would always choose the orange thing, and he still loves it. Red is his second favourite "because it is nearly like orange".

It's all very plummy, so very apt.

Boco · 04/10/2007 21:44

I had purple hair once too - and it rained and i looked severely bruised, and also like a blueberry. Then it was pillarbox red.

Oh Avi, don't tempt me, i will email you with a very long list of intrusive questions. Just ask 100, she's been very polite.

That buggy thread is making me laugh - people seriously sell the same buggy over and over and over on mn, til it falls apart, and all use each others pictures to sell it - it's so peculiar.

It makes me feel a bit .

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:50

I had lots of purple shoes. And a purple suede coat. Oh god, i still HAVE a purple coat. A second one. Oh NO, there are THREE! I have two purple coats and I wore one the other day.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 21:55

I know where Avi lives because I have been there.

Boco - Hurray! Well done, was there a crossings questions?

My dc's have quite classic names, at least one of them is very common but shall we say I named hin BEFORE j k rowling.

Franny - your award, how exciting. I was shortlisted for one this year but didn't get it. Sigh. I found out on my wedding day, not with a letter but a text from an asshole on my MA who said, oh I see Jack got the award. Hey ho. You will win and I will enjoy your success instead.

I have been banging my head on the desk all day trying to organise my un-10/10 trip to Eurodisney. It times out, then it's not available, then the dates are wrong, then and then and then there is something wrong all day. Ggggrrr.

Oh and I had purple hair once too. I bought the dye from a hippie shop and smothered it over my henna so it was ornage and purple like some freako trafic light. Dreadful.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:56

MrsC your ds is called Ron? Percy? Oh I know. Hagrid.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:57

your trip to EuroDisney is clearly NOT MEANT TO BE

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 21:58

Buckbeak.

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 21:58

and no, it does seem to be jinxed

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:03

Dh has been away and he arrived home to me having a spanner moment and shaking my hands in the air and sharing with someone called Karen from eurostar who has my mobile now and is going to ring me on saturday to see how I am.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:04

Oh, I see, any excuse to sneak the HP back into the conversation.

Does anyone else want to admit to purple hair? Or coats? Or shoes?

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:06

I am afraid I dislike purple now. My mother wears it a lot.

FrayedKnot · 04/10/2007 22:07

I love purple, most especially that really deep plummy red kind of purple

DS also loves orange, Franny, he will always pick orange clothes if he has a choice. Second would be red or fuschia pink.

I had a bright red cardigan when he was born that I wore opretty much every day for the first 3-4 months

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:09

DD thinks my favourite colour is ornage. I don't know where she got that from. She gets quite upset if I say it isn't so I just pretend it is now.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:12

"I don't know where she got it from," sounds funny coming from a MrsCarrot.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:15

I had a nice purple shirt once. I have loved purple, but am moving towards indigo these days.

Ds1 drew the most amazing picture today. I love it when he draws. He used to do it much more. This one is called Civil War II Mice versus Men.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 22:16

My mother likes red. I am mildly scarred by her wearing so much of it when I was a child.

FrayedKnot · 04/10/2007 22:17

lol that MrsC's fave colour would be anything BUT orange

MrsCarrot · 04/10/2007 22:18

LOL, lionhart, so it does. I don't have red hair though I like it.

lionheart · 04/10/2007 22:21

Aaah, indigo. It is hard to find indigo clothes.
