For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Is it very highly secret or can you blab?

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 20:47

No, it's just an award thing on a website that lists activities (will be slightly oblique if you don't mind) - "best toddler development activity" - it isn't anything glamorous at all - or even very interesting - but it was very kind of someone to think of my group.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 20:49

I wouldn't win because I am not a chain, and the award will be given based on votes from users of the website, so the choices will be me, plus loads of national franchises. So Jo Jingles will win and I will cry

Oh bother avi i can't remember what it is it can't be THAT outlandish or I would remember.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 21:08

Oh Boco, I was teasing. You sounded cross. I have heard dd's name used in a column as an example of badly behaved brat in NW London Pizza Express. Was shocked. We are none of us safe.

Oh Franny, but we will ALL go and hit the website over and over again to vote for you. Will be a great fix. Imagine ALL of MN voting for you and your scarves.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 21:10

Avi - where do you live?

Avi - where do you live?

Avi - where do you live?

I was sent to name dd, and we hadn't agreed on a name and I couldn't decide and I sat there wondering and I asked the registrar if he thought it was a good name, and he said yes, so that was that.

I wish I'd thought about it a bit more now.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:11

Yes I know, we could easily rig it, easy peasy, couldn't we?

But I shan't.

Boco · 04/10/2007 21:12

No I wasn't being cross - sorry if i sounded cross.

No but really. No.

Can we vote for you Franny?

OP posts:
FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:14

No, I don't think so. I haven't written the thing yet so I may not be in it anyway. And it really would be cheating if you haven't been to one of my classes. Of course, you could all come on a big day out down here and I will run a session for you. Then you could vote for me.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:15

Anyway, please come and look at ds and our beautiful wood

Boco · 04/10/2007 21:15

Yes, 100, i'm sure she was supposed to be Emily or Kate.

Avi, mysterious Avi. Tell us something?

OP posts:
Boco · 04/10/2007 21:17

Lovely pictures Franny.

There will be an awful lot of toddlers at the meet up - you could run a quick session after lunch, and then we could all vote for you?

Gorgeous pictures Franny I love the scarf! What has he got in his pockets?

We went for a walk today, and brought home lots of leaves which ds told me he did NOT want to make a picture with!

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 21:20

He has got two walkie talkies, one in each pocket. They were for talking to the invisible tiger who came with us on the roof of the bike trailer. Ds had to keep radioing him to check he wasn't pouncing on anything.

I know, I was stunned at how nicely the colours came out on the photos. The greens and reds of the leaves were really glowing, it was that fab, vivid, almost hallucinogenic light you get when the sun is not very high in the sky.

Boco · 04/10/2007 21:24

It's not just that avi, i think you are mysterious in a serene smile sort of way. A good way. Rather than naive sharer. I'll give you my exact location and pin number if you like?

Boco · 04/10/2007 21:26

After my test today i went for a coffee with dp, and the man at the next table had a huge long beard, a big bright red woolly jumper, a red beret, and a red scarf with sparkly thread. I really liked him, he was glowing.

We've got two women (unconnected) in this town who wear head to toe purple, every day. One has a purple bike and a purple house as well. I think I was going that way myself, at one point, but I drew back from the brink.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 21:30

Franny, they are lovely pictures, I love woods. I also love your ds having walkie-talkies to talk to the tiger.

Tatties · 04/10/2007 21:31

LOL at invisible tiger

lionheart · 04/10/2007 21:34

I have a lot of red and purple tendencies too. Those pictures are all snug and glowing. Super.
