For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Oh yes ds1 once did 'poo' 'naked people' and 'william shakespeare'. I found it on the search engine. We had to have a very serious chat.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 19:30

I'll be round in an hour 100x
Seriously, I think I must take the dcs swimming in the next day or so, for reasons of hygiene. And especially because ds1 is not an avid bum wiper.

And Franny's approach is delightful and I'm sure she could carry it off beautifully, and you would manage things in a brisk and Anne-like way, but I'm not good at these things. I can do excellent letters of complaint though...

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 19:32

I have just been smiling unreasonably merrily at the idea of going to Bath for a bath. When in Wiltshire, do as the Romans do (did!)...

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 19:36

Well you are very, very welcome TooT - except for Sunday afternoon when its the party. Obviously, you would be welcome then too, but I worry you might report back to 10/10 on the things I am feeding them . . . .

OMG. The litter bear has proved to be a masterwork. He has made great badges to stick on his jacket.

DS2 has made a Doomsday sandwich-board bear. He made a sign which said This (green and blue earth) might turn into THIS (red ball of fire) if we don't recycle.' The previously foppish bear has it sellotaped to his front.

Sorry. I am so sorry. I no this isn't interesting. Except to me. I do apologise.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 19:37

I was channelling Anne a little bit, wasn't I? in RL I would just get very cross and do impotent rage. Write to him then, TooT, I was going to suggest writing to him if you couldn't face saying it. Just be very no nonsense about the fact that OBVIOUSLY you cannot do without hot water for 2 weeks when you have 4 children. I am 99% positive he is acting totally illegally here by leaving you in this situation. Phone housing advice and get them to give you a few choice phrases to use in your letter.

I am hoping that the parcel turned up, or maybe I am just a darling anyway?

Erm, the award, I think is for bark sucking and scarf waving. I have to say something about my approach to toddler development. Something brief. I am not sure what it is all about but it is sponsored by Organix.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 19:38

I like hearing about the bears. Honestly.

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 19:44

lol. TooT will ring and say 'I'm coming over, we can't stand it anymore' and I will say 'of course you must come' and then four hours later ds1 will say, 'why did we have lentils and water and those weird cakes you pretended to have made for the party tea?' Will be great.

I wanted to make ds2s bear a badge saying, 'Hi, my name is Al Gore' but ds2 said, 'who is Algore? No, that isn't his name, this bear is called Fud.' I heart ds2.

Boco · 04/10/2007 19:51

The bears sound great, i couldn't think of anything. Maybe i'd have crafted a wind turbine and stuck it on his head or something. Or maybe i'd have got as far as the looking bit.

Poor stinky toot.

100x you know lots of girls with dd1s name - oh dear, it's become common, those bloody books - i've never met another, until bees dd. Suddenly there are loads of girls with dd2s name - 2 in her pre-school alone.

Well done Boco and well done Franny

I want to know what the name is!

Tatties · 04/10/2007 19:53

It's funny, before I had ds I knew no-one with his name, now we seem to be bumping into quite a few...

ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 19:56

oh no, I know ones older than your dd (one is spanish though) and two the sameish age. Perhaps it's the song?

This happened to a friend of mine with Milo. But she thought she would be safe because she didn't think anyone would actually name their child after a Tweenie.

Oh god it's late. I must put them to bed.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 20:02

Oh yes, the bears are great

Boco · 04/10/2007 20:07

It's Lola.

Obviously after a combination of the transexual and the lap dancer. I like the line 'she looks like a woman but she walks like a man.'

Well done Franny - how exciting - when will you hear?

OP posts:
TooTicky · 04/10/2007 20:12

We thought we were being original with dd1's name but have met several since. Think ds1's name may be unique in this country. Don't know of any other children with ds2's name, or anybody with dd2's. Apart from her namesake, who is a fictional character.

Boco · 04/10/2007 20:14

Oi Franny - there's a thread called oi franny - asking why you've been banned. See what happens when you play with the big girls?

OP posts:
Boco · 04/10/2007 20:15

Oh dear, i just thought, do you think bee will mind me just saying dds name? I don't really mind - but i hope she doesn't. If she does i'll have to get it deleted - i've never done that before. Didn't really think then. oops.

OP posts:
ahundredtimes · 04/10/2007 20:15

We didn't go for originality at all. We are very common and frequent and uninteresting, but on the other hand we also don't have to get anxious because there's been another one spotted at pre-school.

Yes, I'm still here. Dh came down and shouted at them all 'come and see this, come and see this' and they all ran upstairs. And what I'm hoping now is that he will shout 'get into bed, get into bed' but he won't.

I'm going to check now. I will take bets on what he was referring to. The one who is the closest gets a picture of Litter Collector Bear.

TooTicky · 04/10/2007 20:19

An impressive moon? Particuilarly bright star? UFO?

Boco · 04/10/2007 20:21

If we'd really been going for originality we'd have gone for guadalupe. I don't like it though when names you like suddenly become examples of a certain type of person - i saw in the letters page of the guardian someone slagging off guardian readers who all named their kids Ned and Esme because they think they're so cool - and on here it's always 'tarquin' = ponce. Your names are good 100 because they're good classics, they can't be accused of being faddish or a stereotype.

FrayedKnot · 04/10/2007 20:28

Ginormous Loofah?

(sorry Franny)

lionheart · 04/10/2007 20:34

Banned?

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 20:37

I think he has shaved his legs into crop circle type arrangements. I bet I win.

Ds's name was really quite unusual for years and years, all the years I liked it and saved it up, and then the year he was born - bam - there it was in at 100th most popular name for the year

I don't think I find out about the award till next year. I won't win, anyway. Some kind person who attends my groups has misguidedly nominated me for a national award. Bless.

FrannyandZombie · 04/10/2007 20:38

I wasn't banned. Not at all. Not even a tiny bit. I hardly ever even have posts deleted. And Olivia likes me.

Boco · 04/10/2007 20:39

So the award would be for you? What is it, can you say? Why wouldn't you - bet you could.
