For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BBBee · 23/09/2007 13:35

I am supposed to be reading the children act and the site is down - which I am secretly pleased about because that would have been so dull.

I have tomaot sauce last night and I have concerntrated it down and we are going to make pizza tongiht.

My cat is better now which is good. I am going aganist vets advice re: antibiotics but he is doing fine so sould be okay.

My house needs a sorting. I am going to give 8 bin bags of stuff to the charity shop today.

Ok - i should work...

Tatties · 23/09/2007 14:04

Oh I have missed photos

lionheart · 23/09/2007 15:31

Me too (and I think I'll stand next to you on the shortish side of the line).

ahundredtimes · 23/09/2007 15:47

How organised are you all?

I am appallingly disorganised I have decided. This is most unAnne-like, I know. DS2's OT said the other day, 'we have to work on his organisation, so he doesn't feel overwhelmed by the demands made on him' and I thought, god, can we work on mine too?

I get all fuzzy and furry and I have to write everything down and then I lose the piece of paper (though now have life book, and have high hopes) and then ds2 wants to make a marvellous medicine and I say, 'NO NO, we can't. Look at the laundry and the kitchen and the bits of paper everywhere, I can't possibly sanction a marvellous medicine.' And so now he's gone with dd to 'play' in the cellar, and i am just not looking.

Then I get overwhelmed by the demands and I make a cup of coffee and post this on mumsnet. I am constantly amazed at how you all cook cakes and have food in your house and thoughts on childcare, I just seem to chase my tail all the time, and scream and panic and twirl round and round on my office chair with my hands in the air.

God, that felt good.

Sorry. What should I do first?

Tatties · 23/09/2007 15:54

100x you are not alone I am feeling very disorganised and overwhelmed with things atm too; I don't think PMT is helping much today. Just getting basic things done really phases me sometimes. I need to have a good whinge about it actually.

Boco · 23/09/2007 16:18

I'm 5'6. Does that put me in the middle?

I'm far far down the disorganised line though. I'm so disorganised. Always have been. I spend too much time thinking about things and not doing them. I only ever do things in a mad flurry of activity, so i stare out of the window for days thinking, and then i spend 5 solid hours running and cleaning and sweeping and mopping furiously.

I lost my paper licence and had to buy a new one because i spent 2 days going through drawers and piles.

BBBee · 23/09/2007 16:20

oh ogd 100 I am so there with you. this is no exaggeration - we have to wade into the majority of the rooms in our house at the moment. As I speak there is a pile up of baby annabel pushchairs and pink in eye line and I have hama beads stuck to my socks. I have lost my ipod charger for the last two months and I only do things like baking cakes as a sticky plaster effect on the chaos that is my house. Like - yes my bathroom may contain six random objects from every other room in the house but stop look a thtis cake type thing.

There is scary stuff that has to be right like birhtdays and frontline and electricity bills and car insurance but anything else just goes a bit freefall.

BBBee · 23/09/2007 16:22

I knew we were the same height boco - I wish I wasn;t twice your girth though.

BBBee · 23/09/2007 16:23

am going to go and make the apple cake as a break from clearing dd room - I should do the room shouldn't I? or the bathroom. See the bathroom would in effect take what less than 10 minutes to do but I won;t do it.

lionheart · 23/09/2007 16:31

Shortish tatties.

ahundredtimes · 23/09/2007 16:37

Oh good, am so reassured to hear you are all hopeless too. When my life is really going down the sink and we are knee-deep in paper and filthy and mice, I tidy sock drawers. I can't bake cakes, as we know, so i tidy sock drawers.

I have lived here two years Boco, and have not got a change of address thing for my driving licence. I have not had the bit of paper part of the licence for about four years. I have lost everything.

Sometimes I manage to essential surface things, sometimes not even that.

What can we do about it? I'm bad at storage because if I put something in a drawer or a box, then I forget about it. I need everything out.

Boco · 23/09/2007 16:47

I use the excuse that my house is too small. It is small - 2 up 2 down cottage, and there's no storage. Dd1 draws and paints and cuts things up and makes things all day - and there's no where to put it all - and no where to put all the paints and stuff, and when i do my work, i have no where separate to do it so it's always in piles somewhere higher than the dds stuff. And then they get new stuff for xmas and birthdays and i think the house may explode.
