For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 19:10

look he is a bit craggy now but still lovely

should have put him on the old gimmers thread, shouldn't we?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 19:12

feels a 'literary' figures we would shag thread coming on...

Boco · 13/09/2007 19:13

I think he looks better old. I've read all his books i think - apart from his recent one, which i've got, but never started.

How did you meet him? Why? What did you do with him? Did you wrestle?

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 19:15

By the way, I said a few minutes it was children bedtime.

The younger one had fallen asleep in her chair . And has now been transferred. DS is still going round on his bike.

He will go to bed soon and leave me free to ogle lovely men.

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 19:16

you and your men, lol....

BBBee · 13/09/2007 19:20

hello!

flouncing and naked wrestling? What the fuck is going on? Where are the greengages?

I am doing work and can;t be here all I want which is shitty - like when you leave work to go on maternity leave thinking you will 'pop in' and then when you pop in everyone is talking about things you don;t know about or busy and then there are new people who don;t recognise you and don;t know how vital you are and then they change your filing systema nd you can;t log on.... or was that just me?

anyway am a bit all or nothing and if I can;t be here all the time I get irritated. I missed the stuff about boco;s birthday - did you get my crap home made card? Could you tell it involved a lot of swearing.

Therre is a thing on tongiht about the cockle pickers at morecombe bay and I kind of want to watch it but kind of don't. Also John hurt is on who do you think you are so I could watch telly all evening - that happnes never!

salad
plums
apples
um - crap really.

How's LL?

lionheart · 13/09/2007 19:31

If we're talking about the Lost Generation he was supposed to be the most lovely.

lionheart · 13/09/2007 19:32

BBB that sounds too sad, will have to watch Grey's Anatomy instead.

lionheart · 13/09/2007 19:35

Oh, yuk erm, yes they are lovely Franny but not at the same time perhaps.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 20:01

Boco it was only at a reading / signing. I've got a signed 1st edition of Owen Meany [preen] I met Julian Barnes at the same time - he was superbly supercilious, just as you would wish

I know I am usually a Salinger novel but my other most favourite Franny is John Irving's Franny Berry.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 20:01

Avi, no, very straight. Amd not smelly AFAIK.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 20:02

try and get 100 back
don't let anyone I don't like join
be kind to new people
keep talking about how much you miss me

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 20:23
