For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

no, no I done felting and no wee was invlved [shocked]
LoL at felchers...I thought that involved, ahem, 'back passages' and 'insertions'..?

I think I ought to be embarrassed at being praised for being so good at writing crap IYSWIM But hey, nice to be good at something, anything I reckon

(I used to write Purple Ronnie-esque stuff for friends years before Purple Ronnie stuff became so ubiquitous.)

oh god. Perhaps I will turn into Pam Ayers[ worry]

Boco · 14/09/2007 16:30

Do you have an accent like pam ayers?

Boco · 14/09/2007 16:31

I've been sitting on the floor with dd1 making felt beads - it's very therapeutic. She says it's the best activity in the world, apart from collecting acorns with year 5 boys.

Carotte · 14/09/2007 16:54

I guess that would be like felt balls, only smaller, with a hole in. I might try them. Where do you get your unspun wool from?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 16:59

Are you all going to be terribly prolific on here tonight? Do I need to set up a new thread yet, do you think??

Gosh, the responsibility!

Boco · 14/09/2007 17:00

Only two of us showed up to this course - both of us shamelessly lured in by offers of a free creche for 3 hours. So afterwards she said we could take as much of the ..stuff, can't remember what she called it - unspun wool, in lots of pretty colours, as we liked and make our own jewelery. Just make all the beads and thread through with thin elastic afterwards.

lionheart · 14/09/2007 17:01

Don't worry fmv. We will curb your Pam Ayers tendencies if and when they surface.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:02

Oh oi wished oi'd looked after me teef...

Boco · 14/09/2007 17:02

Not me, i 'm going out to the cinema again - but just to the village hall, with a projector and teas served at the interval. I love it here. Seeing amazing grace with some friends. 100 really has gone
She's got real life to do

lionheart · 14/09/2007 17:04

About that new thread title, fmv. Does it still involve donuts? Chip butties?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:05

not gone forever...?

Did she miss our poems

Boco - you'll have to email them to her - no use wasting all them purdy words

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:06

I'm very much afraid I may have to use
Super-cauli-veggi-tastic-Vit C in high doses...because it's there

Boco · 14/09/2007 17:22

I told her about them, hopefully she'll take a peek at our work. It may even inspire her! [hopeful?]

Yes fmv, that's a good one. Franny will be proud of your leadership qualities.

[salutes]

I'm supposed to be taking the children to have their pictures taken now, but it's such an ordeal, making them look nice and then making them sit still and smile, and the pictures always took shit to everyone except grandparents.

Boco · 14/09/2007 17:24

can i just share this - the lady today who ran the course, she had actually built her own yurt! And was going to felt it! As she told me i was doing this open mouthed grin of awe.

Have any of you felted your own yurt? I mean really? Incredible. I would love a felted yurt.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:25

felt my own yurt ?

no, but I've been picked up by the fuzz (boom boom)

IdrisTheDragon · 14/09/2007 17:29

Hello. I am making food for the small people. I have the feeling at least one is going to fall asleep first though.

Last night I did some co-sleeping . DD appeared first, then DS. DS had it pointed out to him he needed to leave me enough room. He did .

IdrisTheDragon · 14/09/2007 17:31

I wonder what Franny is doing at the moment. Having a lovely time I hope.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:51

I am off to make tea for small people but may start a new thread afterwards.

Franny is probably singing lustily to some beardy folkie while chasing peacocks, face-painting ds as a tree-fairy and trying to ignore the Somerset Cider Bus

lionheart · 14/09/2007 17:53

That is really rather good, fmv.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 17:53

what??

ahundredtimes · 14/09/2007 18:00

Boco told me I had to come back and read the poems, and now I'm here I must tell you all that I so HEART the poems.

I love the poems.

I particularly liked the one about me being a man, by BBee.

Top veggie performance.

Boco · 14/09/2007 18:04

You're going to find it hard to cut us out of your life aren't you 100? You love us too much. We'll keep luring you back with poetry, mark my words.

Actually, reading that back, it could have the opposite effect and have you yanking the plug out of the socket and vowing to shake off the weirdy vedgy stalker types.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 14/09/2007 18:06

100 - were you really in a teenage girls band? God, you weren't a Fuzzbox-er were you???

lionheart · 14/09/2007 18:08

I think I missed the bit about the band. Do tell.
