For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

All spade users are welcome for filling up of my hole. Maybe even concrete movers?

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 18:19

3, I also think you are lovely .

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 18:31

Idris - we can then plant some veg on top of your hole, so something productive and fruitful comes of it...

3 - we all think you're lovely xx

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 18:47

3 of course you are lovely

I think you do have strong opinions and can be outspoken, and you also come across as pretty confident. Of course this rubs people up the wrong way sometimes. It also makes you a marvellous person to have on here Sorry that you have got into a fight. It can be really upsetting, can't it?

I am worried now, we are only getting Avi and BBB part time, and our lovely 100 and 3and are getting upset by MN. Don't leave me! I love it on here! It's the best thing on MN most of the time

TooT sorry I had gone. Were you challenging me to an AP duel? I really was getting competitive about the sling thing, sorry

ROFL at Wilfred Owen. That really would be the thinking woman's crumpet.

FMF are you ok to step in as deputy tomorrow then? Much appreciated. Not too many doughnuts please and make sure you put the link to the new thread in big letters so I can find it when I come .

btw, you are right about the stairs. Ouch.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 18:48

oh, I've eaten two sorts of green beans (the flat sort and the skinny sort? don't know what they are called), and went for a 1.5 hour walk with ds while he rode his bike and made nests for birds out of grass and sticks.

Boco · 13/09/2007 18:48

avocado, tomato, asparagus, lettuce, blueberries, raspberries, mango, apple, banana, strawberries.

10/10 hooray.

I don't mind filling holes - got loads of junk we could put in there. 3 never seen you being vitriolic - what was the thread?

DD1 had a good day, and apparently was invited to collect acorns with a group of older boys yesterday and today - and this morning one of them took her scooter to the bike sheds for her and she was very cool about it.

I might go on a 3 hour felting and beading course tomorrow as it has a free creche.

Has anyone seen Amazing Grace? Me and Dp both thought it was about the old lady who grows marijuana, but apparently it's about the abolition of slavery might go and see it in the community centre tomorrow.

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 18:51

Idris

thanks girls for being nice to me

Well, not sure if this makes any difference as such but this is what teh other person said:
"You are making quite a judgement regarding my motives for opening this thread, and have shown far more vitrole than I have or would do in any thread."

It's on the YABU about Kids being send to Nursery with their pj's on!

Anyways, had a lovely sort of mince meat casserole...there were loads of veggies in there, like Courgettes, Mushrooms, Peppers, Sweetcorn, Flagelotti beans and of course onion and garlic as well as Chilli...hmmm...have plenty left over So, won't need to do any cooking the next 2 days...well, for myself anyway...which suits me fine

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 18:51

I'd be honoured and delighted

Franny have a stupendous time!

I also loved the wilfrid owen thingy.
but I'd have to be feeling really overwhelmed by the bleak beauty of his poetry to start having fantasies about him...

Has she gone yet? Right, who wants to talk about spiders, drink wine and eat crap then?

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 18:53

Aw he was cute. And look at that hat.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 18:54

You are all being lovely about my hole .

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 18:55

LOL I just posted on cod's diarrhoea thread and Idris's post seems uncannily apt

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 18:56

Have just re-read that and am not entirely sure that sounds quite how I intended it.

Anyway hole is nearly filled up and I love the idea of planting vegetables on it. At the moment though, there is rather a lot of general rubbish there, so if someone could bring some good quality top-soil that would be great.

(I have no idea about gardening. But top-soil sounds good).

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 18:56

yes, cute and incredibly talented...but..not whooar. I hope he got his end away before he signed up.

Still, rather Wilf than my other literary hero. Thos Hardy looks nowt like I'd imagined. Or hoped...

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 18:56

.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 18:58

FMV I think you were ytalking about loofahs.

I think it is children bedtime.

I will try and retiurn later .

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 18:58

Boco...I think you were thinking of the movie "Saving Grace" there.

Franny, oh no, you can't get rid off me that easily, lol....it didn't acutally upset me, it just made me iykwim

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 18:59

Oh forgot you are Thom. Hard. fan also FMF

I do have a favourite author who is rather nice looking though, and here he is with his son who is not in fact ugly

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 18:59

Idris...top soil does indeed sound as if you know what you are talking about...can't bring any though, as I don't know what it is ...but well, I know the other ones are far cleverer then me, and I am sure they will bring some along

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 19:00
FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 19:02

They wrestle. Together. Probably naked.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 19:04

Do they really Franny? Or is that just in your head...

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 19:06

who is wrestlign naked? They had better not be doing it on my topsoil.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 19:07

They. Really. Do.

They are both wrestlers. Look at them. Do you honestly think they are always clothed when they do it?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 19:07

see franny's link Idris. But put a bib on first...

Boco · 13/09/2007 19:08

Is that John Irving Franny? I had no idea you were into gay incestuous literary wrestling! Gosh, haven't we all got a lot in common!
