For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

TooTicky · 13/09/2007 13:08

Yes, do stay 100x. This thread wouldn't be the same without you.

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 13:14

If I've said it once, I'll say it 100x, please don't go!
you flouncy flouncer

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 13:22

Gosh, so many posts again...
foodwise...jsut boring ole same again...lol...I like it though, obviously, but I know it must come across as majorly boring to others...banana and nectarines for breakfast, dried plums and dates for snacks, an raw carrots with...the usual, yes...houmous, so far...!
Still struggling wiht this bloody application form...I can't get on paper what I am trying to say and there is so many bits where they ask a question in a slightly differnent angle and I don't want to repeat myself over and over...sigh!

Franny...the plank is a good exercise...if you like core workouts , then the core one on Davinas 3x 30 minute workout dvd is really good And Nell McAndrew's is bringing out a new DVD which seems to be a core workout by the looks of it...wohoo
And well, the thing wiht putting slat in instead of sugar...just somehting that could happen to me, lol! I once didn't have baking powder so instead thought I try bi carb soda/cream d'tartar instead...and I must have put in a bit to much (like far to muhc) as the cake tasted absolutely disgusting...
Oh, and have you talked to ds's Nursery?
The Festival looks brill..have a good time...

Idris...lol at all the heating and I agree with the need for that emoticon...but maybe we will get our posts all deleted on teh grounds of barftasticness, lol!

Toot...that is a great recipe...mihgt try that, as I ave some apples that have seen better days...might just work in the buns though

Huhu Zippi

100 don't you dare and go lurking...or taking a break....gasp..Oh, and it is usually dh who is the one not in teh marital bed..because he bloody snores so much, I can't sleep...I ratehr share with my 3 year old, lol....refuse to share the bed with 3 and 5 year old though...as I can't get to sleep between them and wake up aching all over...
On the mentioend scenario....it sounds like by now the mother in question isn't entirely happy anymore about teh situation then...so, I would sort of hint that maybe she should change the way things are right now...however, attachement parenting has nothing to do with being a control freak, etc...and the children are not MADE to sleep in or whatever...it's just that a lot of children like it, and if the parents do, too, then there is no issue...
.

dp looked at this thread yesterday as i'd left it open while getting ready to go out. On the way to the cinema he said 'mumsnet women are a bit highbrow in who they fancy aren't they?' and i asked him what he meant, he said everyone was going on about fancying Wilfred Owen, and how he had a squashy nose!

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 13:27

rofl at your OH Boco

TooTicky · 13/09/2007 13:32

Yes Boco, ds2 is going to take on Nestle - to start with. He is very concerned with right and wrong. He is 5 btw.

Hello again. DH has left for Wales. We had pizza with additional vegetables (olives, corgettes and something) and also corn on the cob for lunch.

The bed has come. Now needs to be put together.

My shoes for the ball have come (work ball next week).

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 14:17

I am probably on the lower end of an attachment parenting continuum, although higher than some.

Breastfed both DS and DD for about 9ish months
DD had cloth nappies from 6 months (although has disposobale pull ups at night now)
Tried slings with both and failed.
Don't do co-sleeping as a general thing - seem to have children with more legs than an octopus and I need my space at night. Would prefer to have the bed all to me to be honest, but would not be nice to kick DH out. It is nice when there are cuddles rather than kicks though.

I don't do CC. I am basically child led I think.

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 14:22

I am either going to scream or cry here....I am getting really frustated with this farking application form...tbh...I feel like scrunching the bloody thing up and forget about the job, lol....
I am sooooooooooo useless...sigh.....

actually I will do both.....scream and cry, I think....sigh...why the hell is dh away right now....he is always quite good in formualting the sentences for me, lol...

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 14:40

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 16:13

I'm glad you've come out of your hole Idris. (if no-one's looking I'll give you a hug pat on the back!)

lionheart · 13/09/2007 16:44

And, if you would like help filling the hole in I'm sure we can all oblige, Idris.

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 16:45

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 17:02

Would you say I am vitriolic? Someone things so...hm...you win some and you loose some (I had to look actually yup what it meant but hm...well, I don't think I am any of those things

3andnomore · 13/09/2007 17:05

actually don't answer that...because I know I can be...but I just don't think I was on teh thread that it was mentioned on...lol

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 17:11

3andnomore - vitriolic is a terribly harsh word. You certainly don't come accross like that on here...What was the context mate?

TooTicky · 13/09/2007 17:25

3, I think you're lovely

lionheart · 13/09/2007 17:56

Not a word I'd use in relation to you.
