For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

LOL avi, am having chamomile tea to calm down after the bollocky apple thread

pinkspottywellies · 12/09/2007 21:55

I know it's quite an interesting discussion about the taking him out of nursery if he's upset thing but I feel like people are missing the point. The arangement is in place, it doesn't matter if anyone on here or at the nursery believes it to be the right thing to do, they have let Franny and ds down and that is wrong.

But then long-winded, off the point discussions are one of the joys of mumsnet I suppose. Night all

(oops I think I said I was going to bed ages ago!)

We have also lost dd's book bag today, BBBee, I have no recollection of her putting it in the pram before she disappeared off to a friends for tea, in her pyjamas I might add. Dh let me have a li-in with the block breast and she told him it was a top not pyjamas like he thought.

I hadn't thought of Ibuprofen, Possum, thanks. Yes, I lay on my front in the hottest water imaginable and tried to knead it away.

Avi- it's just not quite there yet. I like MadamC, BBBee, but it doesn't make me feel younger, Mademoiselle is too long and then it would be MC which is dreadful.

GO TO pizza express

order coffee regale (or something) with a macciato

you get coffee and baby figs marinated in vanilla and dessert wine.

It counts for 10/10 and is very rather nice.

BBBee · 12/09/2007 23:25

Okay - this is faba nd you can make it from stuf at home:

Lobio (Georgian dish)

-Fry some ground corinader in oil and water.

-Add 2 chopped onions, saute until soft.

-Add 3 tins kidney beans, a little water and stock.

-Simmer for a bit nad then mash the beans.

-Add chopped fresh corrinader (and butter if you want).

Serve with pitta bread (with hallomi in grilled), gherkins and salad (lots of cucumber).

This is really nice and so easy. Thought I would tell you because Nigellllllllla made a similar thing the other night but mine is better.

BBBee · 12/09/2007 23:36

am slowing catching up with this thread.

Oh MrsC mastisis is so horrid - I had it twice - once for being a dick and wearing a stupid bra. Have you tried that thing where you lie the baby down and feed them with their chin pointing to the lump? Something about the way they suck or something seems to work.

You are doing all the stuff - hope it works and you don;t get antibiotics.

I blame the boots.
