For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

lionheart · 13/09/2007 09:04

Seasick Steve is very good, although, quite possibly only in small doses. Hope you have a luffely time.

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 09:09

Oh good lord

don't tell me

you like Bonnie Prince Billy as well? or is it just dp who is obsessed with maudlin men with frightening beards?

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 09:12

Hello .

I have had museli. I will eat some fruit soon.

I am much improved from yesterday. It is a bit complicated but I was having the emotional turmoil part I think and now I have the a bit sad part but it is a healthy sort of sad. I think. Still a bit complicated but getting better anyway .

It is nicely autumnal here. There is mist going and the sun is coming out. Our new bed is hopefully being delivered today. And I am going to the dentist.

lionheart · 13/09/2007 09:15

He was on one of those festival shows on tv the other night. I had to keep switching the sound down for all of the other screamy,

cacophanus acts (yes, I know, miserable git I am) and then he came on, with a few people standing around him and just his guitar and I

listened all the way through.

The dungarees and hat and beard are a little bit nightmare in the wild woods of the deep South, tbh.

lionheart · 13/09/2007 09:16

Hello, Idris, glad it is passing.

lionheart · 13/09/2007 09:18

You have seen Deliverance, haven't you?

filthymindedbolshevixen · 13/09/2007 09:19

lionheart · 13/09/2007 09:20

FrannylinePankhurst · 13/09/2007 09:23

DH has come back home again. He was going to go to the office and then to Wales. But now he is going to be here and then go to Wales, as the roads were rather full of cars.

He is also making me lovely hot chocolate.

Am about to do some work.

Franny, have a ball. I vote FMV does tent duties, because she thinks up good thread titles. And she said something about donuts.

Avi - when we both have the strength, I need an AP pep-talk/things to be explained to me. My SIL is winding me up, and I can't remember the things I'm meant to understand about AP and am not being much use to her, because I keep gripping the telephone and biting my lip and making snurky noises, and I don't want her to stop talking to me because she doesn't seem very happy and doesn't seem to talk to anybody much. And my brother keeps sending me alarming emails. Anne no good, I need Avi.

IdrisTheDragon · 13/09/2007 10:04

My friend writes for Private Eye .

BBBee · 13/09/2007 10:16

I vote filthy as well - the doguhnut thing won me over.

I love BonnyPrinceBilly - I like listening to him when I feel sad and I want to revel in it a little.

Zippi! Oh zippi - is it wonderful - have you eaten Egyptian food? Have you been on a camel?

Idris - am glad you feel better.

Oh my post is looking a bit like one of 3andno's - I adore them - like a thread catch up. You know when there is a new episode of a drama and it is like "last week on prisoner cell block H" well 3andno is like "so far on 10/10"

Dare you watch "who the hell do you think you are joh hurt" tonight 100? He has a nice silky voice and his brother is a monk.

Am not around much as working - avi we need a system - like we can come here for 10 mins a day between 9pm and 10pm of something.

I want so food tales from LL to get all excited about.

ahundredtimes · 13/09/2007 10:33

Oh yes, I shall be there for John. I love WDYTYA. I love John Hurt, with his silky voice and smokers face. I bumped into him once in SoHo, I mean literally, we banged. I swooned, he swore.

Okay. God, I must go.

Boco · 13/09/2007 12:15

Hello - how odd, i got a Bonny prince billy cd for my birthday from my brother - hadn't heard him before, but his beard is impressive, and i like it [the music not the beard]

Atonement was pretty ok - there was a little bit too much sighing, and a huge amount of smoking which made me go into ex-smoker spasm, and then lots of very clipped voices saying 'do come back!' and 'oh two sugars please'. But it looked very good.

100x do you realise you were just rude to piffle, maybe i missed something, but she said she was called jane, and then your post was next and said people called jane were not capable of much humour, whereas annes are.
