For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I have had an apple.

And some chocolate. Is it wrong to live in hope that chocolate can be reclassified as a fruit or vegetable?

DD slept through again . I conversely am tireder than I should be, but keep my fingers crossed that DD may have learned a bit more about staying asleep when she should.

Boco · 12/09/2007 11:12

MrsToyotaCorolla, i can't stop thinking about those boots - did you buy them?

MsCarrot · 12/09/2007 11:41

Some people call you Bock-o
as they don't know that it's Boe,
but it doesn't really matter
how you say the little 'o'.
You're much loved here on mnet (puke)
lighthearted fresh and funny
Don't pass your test, we'll see you less.
Bon Birthday, Boco Bunny!

well, it's green

MsCarrot · 12/09/2007 11:43

I did but I have to wait till Saturday for my seize to be ordered. I can't wait.

I have masttis again. Looks like there's a cube stuck in the side of my tit, it really hurts.

Lullaby - I wish I had your gran she sounds wonderful.

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:00

Aren't grandmothers wonderful? LL and 3, yours both sound amazing.
I had some muesli with apple then went to toddler group. Am v. hungry now but dd2 is sleeping companionably in my lap and it seems a shame to disturb her. Actually, we don't have much food anyway.

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:01

MrsC, are you wearing a cabbage leaf? I find them very soothing for any breast pain.

MsCarrot · 12/09/2007 12:10

No Toot, I don't have any cabbage actually, we ate it all in the stir fry last night. I must get some as it really helped before. I had forgotten. Thanks.

I stink of ginger as I just put it in the bath. I really don't want AB'S so I will persist but I do feel a bit grotty. I don't feel as bad as when I last had it but the lump is HUGE, it's honestly sticking out on a right angle. Werid.

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:13

Here, have this one

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:16

Oh, Happy Birthday to Boco!!!!!

3andnomore · 12/09/2007 12:19

Idris, I did get an e-mail recnetly and it claryfied it all...chocolate is indeed a fruit and vegetable to a large part works for me...lol!

Mrs. C.....is that a cake you made? If it is...wow, where did you learn that...it looks fabulous...it's weird really, as I absolutely love baking, but have never dared to make a Birthday cake...I am artistically challenged, you see...lol
And very sorry to hear about the mastitis, you poor thing

Toot..yeah, when they are asleep it's best to leave them, lol!

Well, munchng my way through carrots sticks yet again...but got a different houmous today....chargrilled red pepper one...yum
On the way back from school/nursery we had a bit of an accident ....I took the hand cart, because the boys wanted to be picked up in it, and they were both sitting on the little bench, and when we went up a curb (it was a dropped one, but not that low, I suppose0 the whole think wiht Kids inside toppled backwards onto the road...banged heads and a mighty shock for them the whole cart came almost apart...well, all those bits that are meant to come off, because you can collapse it....came off...I am sure dh can do something about that, when he comes back..hopefully anyway

MsCarrot · 12/09/2007 12:25

Lol, 3andnomore, it's a google image! Or, should I pretend I made it specially for Boco...

Ttoot- thanks! I just borrowed a redcabbage from my neighbour, hope it does the same job, must have similar cabbagey properties?

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:27

I am about something. It is horribly complicated. And much of it has been my own fault.Which sadly doesn't really lessen the pain.

Bother .

(no one needs to say anything about this - I just am in this place at the moment and need to get out of it and I will just probably not for a bit.)

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:27

3, sorry about the cart incident Perhaps they need seatbelts...
I like hummus but there's nowhere that sells it around here.

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:28

Idris. Feel free to vent.

MsCarrot · 12/09/2007 12:28

nOWHERE oops, sells hummus near you?

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:29

Thank you (sadly coming through somewhat tearful eyes.Bother).

But at least am in a meeting room on my own at work so relateively safe.

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:30

Holland and Barratt have it occasionally but it has preservatives and doesn't taste quite right.

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:30

Not a "venting" thing either. Just a boring old thing to do with me.

Maybe an apple will help .

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:32

Well, we're here if you want to talk. Or we can pass you fruit

3andnomore · 12/09/2007 12:33

Mrs C you are shattering my delusions of you, lol!
BTW...obviously I did not assume you made it for BOco...jsut thought maybe it's one "you made earlier" for a Kiddies birthday or somehtning...(just making sure you know and I am not that weird, lol!

On the cabbage thing...am pretty sure it's part of the green part in cabbage that is what helps with things like mastitis, etc... well, am sure that I read the leafs of a green cabbage and the darker green the better...somewhere at some time...

Toot...where are you again...is there no Asda, Tesco or Morrisons anywhere?

(((((Idris)))))

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:37

I may go on about it later. Thank you for the kindly ears .

I am going to go and find some lunch, as I think one apple, one banana (slightly squashed) and some chocolate may not quite do .

Franny may remember what my is about - I posted about it around this time last year and she was very nice about it. But it may well have been quite forgetable (I had the thread deleted btw ).

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:38

Sorry about random smiles/sads etc. I seem a little emoticon trigger happy today

TooTicky · 12/09/2007 12:39

I don't do supermarkets 3. They are the work of the devil.

IdrisTheDragon · 12/09/2007 12:40
3andnomore · 12/09/2007 12:41

I found a good website yesterday with houmous recipes...let me just find it for you than, at least you cna try to make it yourself
