For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Happy Nearly Birthday Boco xx

(I have some birthday cake stashed in my army and navy canvas rucksack which I have badly stenciled a red star onto>>

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:16

Oh the strike.

Well was at my weird school with no rules, and they wouldn't put the heating on, so I said we wouldn't get out of bed until they did. Was great.

Then, because that was so much fun we had another one, on the roof. Was a sort of sit-in. I can't remember what that one was about, but there was ice cream.

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:17

I would wish you a Happy Nearly Birthday, but I've already said it once today, so I'm saving up for tomorrow.

Boco · 11/09/2007 22:17

Oh 100 you weren't at that school in Leiston were you?

No rules as in AS Neill and all?

TooTicky · 11/09/2007 22:18

Are we being anarchic tonight? Is being vegan good enough? Actually, I am seriously coveting a pair of those fairy boots for the winter and they are leather but would last for years and...and...that's not really very radical, is it?

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:19

No, I don't think so.

Sorry, no I KNOW it wasn't there (I think). Was on a hill, was weird.

I used to go and live in London in the holidays, and one holiday I met my father there and said, 'there are these things you need to go to University, they're called A Levels. I'd quite like to get some if possible, but I won't get them there'.

And he said, 'Fair enough. Find somewhere else.'

So I did.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 22:19

Right I am going to bed as I was up Much Too Late last night.

I will dream of revolutions and gourds.

FrannylinePankhurst · 11/09/2007 22:24

Ooh 100 you just tell us these snippets to torment me]

TooT tell us more about cadets

Boco · 11/09/2007 22:27

100 did you stay in London on your own? When you were young? And your school was one of those that had no rules? I know some people who went to those kinds of schools, they're all very very self confident and self assured. But where were your parents?

BBBee, birthday schedule, - take dd to school, my mum coming round for lunch, pick dd up, take her to Rainbows [worry - is it some kind of freaky christian fundamentalist group or is it fine?] - have early dinner with dds adn then go and watch atonement with dp.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:28

do you have nice food?

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:29

Yes, sometimes I did stay on my own. My parents went to live in Scotland, and we were all in boarding-schools quite a long way south.

I have three older brothers.

And sometimes I stayed with other people, and sometimes I lived on my own in my grandmother's flat. She didn't live there, she lived mysteriously and gin-soakingly abroad.

And yes, I was quite young. I mean not very, like fifteen, sixteen or something.

TooTicky · 11/09/2007 22:29

She came out and said, "I've made lots of friends!" This probably doesn't sound that amazing, but she hasn't had a real friend since her best friend moved 3 years ago - or was it 4?
Anyway, apparently there are even a couple of HE children there and everything is wonderful and the boys went to Badgers and loved it AND it's cheaper than Beavers.
And I took dd2 swimming and after we'd been there for about 15 minutes she looked at me in some surprise and said, "You wet Mum!"

TooTicky · 11/09/2007 22:31

100x, that is a slice out of a totally different world. It is quite fascinating.

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:31

Is it? Oh dear.

TooT my laptop has no power. I've got to turn it off, but am jumping for joy at your news.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:45

that is great TT. I am pleased for her.

I am having a weird night with mnet all odd and my sisters are having this weird fight where they are not speaking to each other only me - one is on facebook and the other is on email and they are being really cross with each other through me.

am glad you are here - you are sane - well you aren;t but you are my kind of insane.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:45

oh no 100 - is good - is enchanting.
