For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:07

humnities was supposed to be politics, history and geography combined. It was crap and I have a huge gaping hole in my knowledge.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 22:07

I appear to be 81 miles away. But I think as the crow flies I would be rather nearer.

MsCarrot · 11/09/2007 22:08

Very tactful. Eye is lovely though, yes?

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:08

Avi! I haven;t told you about the coffe I had in a lebanese restaurant!

FrannylinePankhurst · 11/09/2007 22:08

I went on an anarchist march once

we arranged to stay in this squat and we all thought it would be an adventure until we got there and there were dirty works everywhere and no toilet

I did not stay an anarchist for very long

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:08

Eye is very lovely - I was very jealous.

ahundredmines · 11/09/2007 22:08

I led a stike at my school once.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 22:08

From Ipswich that is. Possibly from the fray that is Mumsnet outside this thread.

Boco you are nearly having a birthday.

MsCarrot · 11/09/2007 22:09

Did you take a tena lady on your march, Franny?

lionheart · 11/09/2007 22:09

Good luck if you do go, avi, it's like a Wild West Saloon around here

(after John Wayne has thrown the first punch and hit an innocent cow-herd).

Happy nearly Birthday, Boco.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:10

what was your strike about 100?

my dad supported a student strike by going into the sit in to deliver his lectures - was he there?

lionheart · 11/09/2007 22:10

What was the strike about, 100X?

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:10

OH AVI!

FrannylinePankhurst · 11/09/2007 22:10

No, I took a bugle

we sang "Jerusalem" for Danish TV

Boco · 11/09/2007 22:12

thank you for the nearly happy birthday wishes.

Eye is lovely - i like it alot. I'll like it more when i can choose to leave it sometimes.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 22:12

I think I have anarchistic tendencies. They are just generally hidden.

Boco you are almost exactly a year older than me.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:12

it was thick - the coffee was ground so fine it was in there making it all silky and it was sweet and all aromatic - it had cardamon in it and maybe rose and things like that - with baklava. It came in tiny cups and was poured by a very nice waiter who looked at me through his fringe.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 22:13

sorry - coffee porn over.

Boco · 11/09/2007 22:13

Dp went through an anarchist phase. Actually i'm not sure if he's out of it or not.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 22:13

I can't decide whether to wait up for DH ot go to bed. I think I might go to bed. Espoecially as I have to go to work tomorrow.

There are various things vaguelyt to do with work that need to be dealt with. Hmm.
