For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

oh 3andnomore if you don;t know I don;t want to be the one to tell you and soil your purity - also 10/10 is a calm amongst the storm sometimes.

If something happens MN seems to get flooded with people wanting to talk about it and we don;t but it is in active convos all the time and makes us look really horrid.

slow but thick, as my granny would say, MrsC! Would Ms make you feel any less matronly?

BBBee · 11/09/2007 20:57

Oi carrot - wait - 30 is SO much better than any of those indecisive 20's I promise. I liked myself much more when I turned 30.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 20:58

btw liked MrsC's name 'grating' on her.

lionheart · 11/09/2007 20:59

Strike? Suffragettes?

FrannylinePankhurst · 11/09/2007 21:00

LOL grating

SauerKraut · 11/09/2007 21:00

TheCarrot would really rock and conjure up images of wearers of cool shades and suchlike.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 21:25

filth your name is great.

because I made lentil soup for myslef for lunch does that make it not matter that I have eaten a packet of jafa cakes?

Boco · 11/09/2007 21:26

I might go back to being Wolfie.

I just told dp the go carting goat herding story, and it took ages because i was laughing so hard, and he just stared unblinkingly at me, and then carried on reading his book.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 21:29

I liked the goat herding story. I bet Franny would have a goat herding party - like that sheep dog thing and you had to herd goats into pens - I bet she has it pencilled in for a 10/10 meet up.

Boco · 11/09/2007 21:33

Isn't that more like sheep herding. I think goat herding is more random, you just follow them over craggy hillsides like Heidi and Peter. At least sheepdog led herding is an actual activity - but goat herding, it's just wandering with goats - it's brilliant.

IdrisTheDragon · 11/09/2007 21:38

Hello .

MrsCarota · 11/09/2007 21:39

Yes, I imagine a goat shepherd following it and milking occasionally when it stops to sniff some alpine moss.

That thing your dp did, Boco, I do that.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 21:39

oh yes, peter teh goat hed like in heidi. Not much fum for a party though all that wandering about. I suppose we could yodle.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 21:40

Boco · 11/09/2007 21:42

He's a master at it. Your laughter tails off to a disgruntled mumble. I can imagine you doing it Carotene, and making a big W sign with your fingers and mouthing whatever.

BBBee · 11/09/2007 21:42

I liked it - I saw a comedian doing a really funny thing about his english accent meaning that 'house' sounded like 'arse' in USA. He said he couldn't understand when he told his new girlfriend that he was looking forward to coming in her house. My sister and I ran and ran with this one...
