For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

100x, can you tell me more about it tomorrow please? I really need to sleep. I haven't even made the lunches yet

And shall we wave on Saturday?

BBBee · 07/09/2007 00:15

and I love you too.

(Off to bed to bask in the warm glow with slight apprehension of what will be made of this in the morning.)

Oh, sorry, and I never responded to the waving before.

I'm going to wave to you now.

Look, wild chimp like waving.

Honestly, what a mess you nightowls, I went to bed at 10.30! The teeth are through, I think.

Aren't herons bad lucj near your house? I always thought it was an ominous omen to see one.

I am gong to meet my birth group in the park, don't know why really but they asked me. I am the only client in 25 of my doula being a doula who hasn't actually rung her when I gave birth. She got there too late, once, but has never had someone who didn't fancy her coming after all. Then I am meeting my friend from art school who is coming up to meet me for lunch before going to North Norfolk. We might look at the textile culture MA shows.

Toot - I like textiles in books/illustrations. I am hankering after a lace rhinoceros with buttons on his bottom in my local art gallery.

MrsCarrot · 07/09/2007 07:45

25 years of being a doula I mean

TooT my friend does a Little Green Fingers club in the hall where I do my scarf waving. She does it for under 5s and she would be delighted to speak to you about it I am sure, can put you in touch... I don't think you have to be very outgoing to do quiet gardening activities in a corner with under 5s. You won't make much at it though so fgs don't get friend involved or you will make half of not very much.

About the environmenty story telling not making any money....I hope to differ there. Am going to take the plunge and do a session in a wood and charge people for it. Have been thinking about it since reading Lionheart's book and hearing about the one BBB went to. Oh and that Fairyland Trust thing. I love it when the universe conspires to tell you things, it has been shouting at me quite loudly this year.

The heron wasn't near my home but I didn't know it was a bad omen It would be if you were a fish, I suppose

Have eaten mango (acceptable, not superb, not cunting), pear, apple, raisins.

I am only going to do one to begin with and see how it goes

I probably need some dreary kind of permission to do it properly anyway

plus wrong time of year to get it started regularly, I think

pinkspottywellies · 07/09/2007 09:24

I was going to say about herons being bad omens for the fish too! You lot stayed up sooo late last night! I can't handle it any more! I'll be late to bed tonight though - I'm going OUT! Real live out! I'm going on my friend's hen night and getting dressed up in 80's attire and backcombing my hair! (I'm driving though so I don't have to drink) Wish me luck - I forget how to behave around adults sometimes

pinkspottywellies · 07/09/2007 09:28

Avi, I got 2 lots of SMP because I did 2 jobs and you can qualify separately as long as you earn more than a certain amount in each one for a certain length of time! And I'm not going back properly to either I feel like it's really naughty but it's not

pinkspottywellies · 07/09/2007 09:29

Franny the woodland thing sounds fun! What is your scarf waving? I know about the bark sucking thing and the horrible children in beer gardens - you're very multi-talented!!

pinkspottywellies · 07/09/2007 09:29

Oh no. Has everyone gone?

Tatties · 07/09/2007 09:44

Good morning

So far: muesli, raisins, OJ

PSW I bet you will look great tonight!

TT I love your career ideas.

The sun is shining here, I hope everyone has a good day.

(Oh Franny you probably missed it but I asked way down the thread if Pobby and Dingan is worth a read? If it is I will order it from the library as I am NOT buying more books!)

BBBee · 07/09/2007 10:00

(am not here am writing essay really - fran do you want me to bang on in great detail about the course I went on? My son learns more there about wildflie in a week than in a year at school. I love it.)

Sorry for being crass about my cousin's dp not earing cash from enviromental story telling.

100 - your NK ruck caused an offshoot thread about newbies battling with old timers.

PSW - those eighties things are SO much more fun than you can imagine! Wish I knew before - I could have sent you some cool attire.

Okay - essay.

At the meet up if it is all too much we can do as avi suggests and all go to an internet cafe and talk to each other like that.

lionheart · 07/09/2007 10:09

Who is NK?

BBBee · 07/09/2007 10:14

sorry - Natasha Kaplinsky - the thread was about her programme last night were she traced her family tree.

MrsCarrot · 07/09/2007 10:40

Franny - I don't think herons are bad luck in general just if they fly near a house. I expect thihs is because they do not often fly near houses and if they do may cause damage? I have seen one from my window before and it looked to close and too big to be in the sky. Ignore my prophetic ramblings, it's all crap anyway.

Kiwi, necatrine, pear and hopefully I will have loads of salads for lunch in town.

Have a nice day.

ahundredtimes · 07/09/2007 11:25

Any bird flying near your house is bad luck in my book.

BBee - I don't get MN politics at all, I was never very good at office politics either. Any politics. I can't see that thread though, probably just as well.

Have eaten 5 plums for breakfast, and 3 cups of coffee. Not a great start. However, sun is shining.

TooTicky · 07/09/2007 11:43

Oi 100x, chuck a bit of that sun over here please - I have washing to dry.

MrsCarrot · 07/09/2007 11:45

I wish I could just eat five plums for breakfast. I had three peces of toast with marmite and jam, not together of course. I have just had a tin of mackerel as a snack and I am going out for lunch

I can't stand the playground politics either, all that stripes/top dog business. Pah.

TooTicky · 07/09/2007 11:47

Honey and marmite are okay together.

MrsCarrot · 07/09/2007 11:48

Really? I Like peanut butter and marmite together, that's delicious.
