For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page.

I want to write children's books and get them published

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:15

But you're the sort of person who dances out and finds luck. I just sort of lurk in an unsure sort of way and it walks past without noticing me.

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:17

Actually, that is very ungrateful of me. We are v. lucky to live where we do - we used to live in south Bristol (ick) and could easily have ended up in a really grotty town. And I have 4 lovely dcs, even if they do kick me sometimes.

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:18

And now I'm just wittering to myself in a rather insane kind of way. Where are you all?

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:19

my sister says that she only became a writer because having children gave her the break in her career to reassess herself and try something new without huge finacial pressure, so you could look at it like that - a chance to reassess (patronise patronise - sorry)

I once saw this advert where you can train as a child yoga teacher and that sounded nice. Do you like working with children? could you lead music groups / baby signing type things?

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:19

TT - don;t worry som, etimes I have about 6 posts in a row on here!

DollyPopsOut · 06/09/2007 23:20

Avi - preseed is a special lubricant that you, er, use topically. Basically you squirt it up your nethers prior to the great event and it helps the spetm to swim faster and with more chance of reaching the target. I'll find you a link.

Get DH to eat brazils too as they are full of zinc which improves sperm quality.

DollyPopsOut · 06/09/2007 23:23

you, Avi www.accessdiagnostics.co.uk/acatalog/Pre-Seed.html

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:24

Is that Tatty Bumpkin? I did look into that but I don't think I'm really outgoing and jolly enough.
Must look out my stories one night when I am not too tired. They are there and I think they have potential, it's just finding the time and brain space.

DollyPopsOut · 06/09/2007 23:24

sorry avi that was a bit unsubtle. Link went wrong.

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:30

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:34

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:36

there is loads you could do I bet.

Having childre is wonderful (the most wonderful thing in the world balh blah) but it really did knock my confidence at times.

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:41

Worst thing is when they get to know-it-all age and really think they know far more than I ever did. And then I start to doubt myself even more.

ahundredtimes · 06/09/2007 23:46

I have just had my first fight on MN. I was called disgustingly callous. It was very exciting.

What are discussing here?

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:48

Where 100x? Link please!

ahundredtimes · 06/09/2007 23:50

Oh no. I just thought that Kapinsky programme was manipulative and badly done, and I made remarks about her coats.

Now, are we finding you a job tonight? How exciting.

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:50

ooh I've just been there too. Very dignified 100.

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:51

we are trying to tell TT what she should do for a living. I have been firing big balnks!

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:52

have you digested your obsence meat yet?

ahundredtimes · 06/09/2007 23:53

Was I? I got quite cross, I fairly banged on the keyboard. I've never got cross on MN before.

OK. TT what did you used to do/are qualified in/would like to do?

Also, do you really want to? You have four children and are HEing one of them.

BBBee · 06/09/2007 23:55

could you be a HE advisor? Doula? (ick!)

100 - yes you were - she was pompous and I was pleased when I read your post saying so.

TooTicky · 06/09/2007 23:56

Um, I screwed up my A levels by spending 2 years in various pubs. Worked in a petrol station fgs. Had dd1. Worked in a fabric shop. Had ds1, ds2 and dd2.
I was actually one of those terribly bright children at school, just never worked out what I could actually do.
