For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I am wondering if not reading this thread will make a jot of difference to my work productivity. I have just spent all evening looking at one page of a book, feeling vacant. I am so sleep deprived someone could whack me round the head with a frying pan and I wouldn't notice feeling any different.
I love floral tastes. Mrs C, from where may I procure that marvellous sounding tea?
Aviatix, crikey, no I am not contemplating the meet up, scary people being derisory about my extravagant purchases. Plus DS has just learnt the 'art' of doing a poo and he'd probably squat, grunt, make the noise of a parachute being ripped in half then go red with the effort, in front of assembled 10/10-ers. What a prospect.

DollyPopsOut · 22/08/2007 23:11

All this talk of sweeties is too much! I am very keen on violet cremes. Remind me of the inside of my granny's handbag....not that I would want to eat that, but a lovely comforting smell and slightly soapy taste.

Fleetwood MAc - not me mrs - am listening to some lovely verdi as I type. Anyone else into cloassical music

CC - not for me. I can't bear hearing either of mine crying when I know there is a problem. DD1 can milk it for effect but I know when she really is upset and just can't let her go on and on and on... with very small babies, they just need the warmth etc from which they came. I would not be able to do CC with conviction and wonder if it would do awful things for separation anziety etc. My best memory of christmas chez the outlaws was a snuggle with DD1 when we just tucked into a single bed for a couple of hours. She was 20 months and disoriented. I was 7 months preg and barely fitting in the single bed by myself. However, we squeezed together and had the best sleep. A moment when my mummy healing vibes were at their best .

Hope you get some sleep LL and wishing for a brighter Thurs for you. Don't hesitate to ask if there is anything I can do - you are very welcome to email or ring if that would help.

Night night all.

womblingalong · 22/08/2007 23:12

Mrs C

I love floral tastes too, am rather fond of Rose Pouchong Tea at the moment and am utterly seduced by the crying chocolate.

Possum, I am absolutely sure no one would be derisory or scary, and as for poo, did you hear about my DD pooing on the curtains, behind the armchair when I had left her watching TV on the potty? I am sure she will be v embarrassing, but what the heck!

oh, F&V, large bag of cherries (2), sprouted bean salad (2), corn on the cob (1) - not a great day, and no exercise as such.

Wombling - your DD pooed on the curtains! Wow! I am so impressed. How on earth did she manage that? I mean, poogoes downwards, gravity and all that, did she levitate? mountaineer up the curtains and then defecate in mid air? That young ladyy has an amazing furture before her.

NotReallyHerePossum · 22/08/2007 23:20

b*er, my typing really has arrrived at its nadir...

lionheart · 22/08/2007 23:21

Much sympathy, avi, I know the dance of which you speak.

NotReallyHerePossum · 22/08/2007 23:24

Oh Aviatrix, the poor lamb, having to do a poo dance
DS did such an explosive one today that even he looked taken by surprise. Meanwhile, I was pinned to the wall in stunned shock, awe and astonishment. I mean, how can such a tiny and perfectly pink bottom be capable of producing so much smoke, wind and fire? It was like a Mahler symphony gone badly wrong, played on a gamelan or something.

PMSL

I am glad I went to bed early so I have all this nonsense to get up to

Possum I wish you (and everyone) would come to the meet up - I was only a little bit sarky about the browsing box because I was extremely jealous . I think it is beautiful and I think it is eminently sensible to spend money on delightful things for your home. Sorry we did all take the mick a bit but it was pure I assure you

Zippi I wished to ask the Fleetwood Mac person something. Something that will remain confidential between them and me, now I know how you all feel about them

Am eating blueberries (seem to be having blueberry binge this week), pear, raisins, grapes.

Have new jeans, slightly too tight. I want them to fit nicely for camping in 3 weeks so am hoping gym + f+V will do the trick.

I shall leave cc alone except to say that Avi, ENTP wouldn't have kept so tactfully quiet

All you weirdy breastfeeders - if you would like to write about your breastfeeding experiences and perhaps have them published, please email

susanlast at hotmail dot com

She is collating people's breastfeeding stories (I think she wants positive stories, but am not 100% sure) for a book.

lionheart · 23/08/2007 09:39

avi, you are being very mysterious about what you are studying.

Up at dawn, you say.

Are you dabbling in the dark arts, perchance?
