FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

How do you cosmically order your nutritionist - is it like ordering online? Someone on mumsnet can channel reflexologists. Or maybe only her own reflexologist i can't remember. Is it Flame?

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 20:30

Noel Edmonds does it apparantly. You go out at night, with a very simple list of your requirements, and you ask the cosmos. And you have to remember to say Please.

Then a month someone we both know, who does lots of nutrition stuff with SN kids, stopped by her car and said 'What's the matter with your daughter?'

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 20:31

Boco, shout suitcases at me please.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 20:32

apparently.

FrayedKnot · 17/08/2007 20:43

GO AND PACK!

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 20:44

LOL.

Ok. Thank you FrayedKnot.

Bye bye all, have a good week.

Boco · 17/08/2007 20:47

SUITCASES!

Have a wonderful holiday. I'm so jealous i said that through very gritted teeth. But i do hope you have a lovely time.

FrayedKnot · 17/08/2007 20:47

Sorry, was that a bit loud?

Perhaps I ought to be having some borage

i think it's recommended for pms

I ahve leaden boobs tonight

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 20:48

Jump now Boco, while the suitcases are empty.

FrayedKnot · 17/08/2007 20:49

Hurrah! Have a great time 100x

Tatties · 17/08/2007 20:59

If this doesn't get Franny back I don't know what will

FrayedKnot welcome!

I dressed up as Joan of Arc once... at school

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 21:05

100x - you are getting a bit cheeky. "thought Mrs C might have it in an ommlette"

Borage is a herb. It is the plant starflower oil is made from which is higher in GLA'S than evening primrose so that's the menopausal/menstrual connection.

Frayedknot - I live in Norwich. People aren't usually envious of that to my knowledge.

My dinner was lovely. We also had smoked prawns with it. Yum. DD has asked if we can go to Stiffkey tomorrow to pick some more samphire and I think we might if it doesn't rain. We can crab there too.

I must say goodnight here as we are watching a film and dh is looking annoyed at my tap tapping.

I hope you have a lovely time 100x.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:12

And now I know how Joan of Arc felt
Now I know how Joan of Arc felt
As the flames rose to her roman nose
And her Walkman started to melt
Oh ...

(This should help).

Boco · 17/08/2007 21:17

No i know what'd work - Franny loves that chubby smiley little fellow that does all the dancing, with the feminine knees and the aunty dancing - all over the world - she's got something to do with spoons going on. Oh i don't know, maybe we should let her go - if she doesn't come back, she was never really ours. Something like that.

MrsC i didn't realise you actually live in Norwich! Where abouts? Can you be vaguely specific? I'm going to norwich tomorrow. Maybe we really can meet one day - it'd be pretty easy.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:24

That sounds downright freaky, boco. Could we not just try a setting down a trail of small fruits and exotic veg to lure her back?

Boco · 17/08/2007 21:28

Lionheart it's worth a try

With a name like lionheart, i reckon you're the re-enactor aren't you - you doublebluffing medieval trickster.

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 21:30

I live in the Unthank area. If you come to Norwich regularly then yes, we should meet. You could come for lunch! Oh please do, it would be fun. Our dd's must be the same age. Are you shopping? Norwich is seriously lacking in skirts despite the sales.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:33

That's an excellent start, Boco, and erm, about that other matter ....

(Actually, it's not a very pc name to choose, is it? What with the general carnage, proselytizing and whatnot that it conjures?)

FrayedKnot · 17/08/2007 21:33

Ah yes MrsC, but people who were forcibly uprooted from Norwich 2 years ago and would really quite like to move back tomorrow if they could, might be a bit envious

Does the occasional fruit smoothie count, btw? I am off for a glass now before bed

Boco · 17/08/2007 21:34

Goodness i thought you lived somewhere further out, like Attleborough or something. My dad used to live on Earlham rd - so i know that area. Can i really come for lunch one day? I'd love to - how old are your dcs? Mine are 5 and 2. I come to norwich every month at least once, so i'm sure we could get together one day soon.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:34

On the other hand, I quite fancy one of those little tunics and some chainmail, oh, and a sword, and a horse.

Goddammit, just point me in the direction of the infidels.

I have been outed.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:35

It does count, FK.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 21:39

Look, you could dive into these.

MrsCarrot · 17/08/2007 21:46

That's a very pretty picture Lionhart, I am not that keen on cranberries but it looks inviting!

Boco - how funny, I walk there every day, the Earlham house shoppping centre is the organic grocers. Yes, we will have lunch, it's decided. My dd is 5 too. I guess with school it would have to be a saturday unless we have lunch with your littlest and they meet another time?

Frayed knot - Where were you uprooted to? I like it here, though it has a bad press generally.

FrayedKnot · 17/08/2007 21:55

Kent, MrsC, not a particulalry nice part although there are lovely places not far away.

I didn;t actually live in Norwich itself, I lived in various surrounding villages, from the age of 4 to 35 with a brief sojourn away at uni.

But I miss it

Hope you & Boco have a nice lunch

Sorry lionhart this has all gone veyr east Anglian, better get it back on track

I thought they were red smarties until I read the address
