FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

where's franny?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 14:38

boco do you want ot holiday in oxofrd?

Will have to tidy my house (and organise my coookery books!)

Boco · 17/08/2007 16:16

Franny has found a better place and deserted us all to discuss parenting elsewhere. I'll probably eat fried mars bars now til she comes back.

BBBee the very idea that i'd order my books is so foreign and strange to me. Holidaying in Oxford sounds fun - do you mean with you, or, house sitting? It's very exciting, the thought of seeing everyones houses, i'd like to do a 10 / 10 tour.

My dad did turn up, a couple of hours late but he came. Made him take us out for lunch, but then dd1 went all funny - said she'd banged her head and then went all pale and sick and we had to stand at the side of the road for ages. But now she's ok, still a bit pale.

You're right BBBee is a small issue with my step mother - we don't like each other at all, all a bit upsetting. She's really not nice, makes it all very tense and nasty. She doesnt like my dad seeing his children - she even got huge hairy asthma attack inducing dogs to keep us away, which wasn't even necessary as she's deterrent enough. She's a terrible snob. I could moan about her for ever, but i'm clogging up fruit and veg thread.

Had a salad for lunch.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 16:21

at Franny's desertion and going private.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 16:42

As Franny's gone orf, can I show you my video from Ralph Lauren on The Perfect Bar?

It's utterly marvellous. But not very 10/10 it must be said. It's going to be in our house in Edgarsville.

Boco · 17/08/2007 17:01

I'm not sure i understand.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:06

Oh doesn't matter.

I fell off my carbohydrate diet today. Ate a bacon and egg roll. Not very good really was it.

Also had 2 bannanas. That's it. Oh, and this slice of white toast with marmite. God it was good. DH bought proper plastic bread - I always buy wholemeal, oh yes - but god it was lovely.

lionheart · 17/08/2007 17:08

Let's have show and tell while Franny is otherwise engaged. No idea what you are talking about 100 but let's have it anyway.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:11

AH! It's you doing the no carb thing - I knew someone was! But oh you're mot anymore though because you ate carbs.

I am going down to one coffee a day.

Boco we are going to Edinburgh on tues so you can come and stay in our house if you like and if okay with DP. I do have a cat though - is that asthma inducing?

Your cookery books very in an order - or course I could only do a furtive glance here and there as I had to repress my urge to stare at your house but the Hugh Fernally Whittingstall one WAS next to the other Hugh fernally Whittingstall one.

100 - what are you talking baout all Ralph Lauren and stuff - I do not follow but do it on this thread - F&Z has buggered off so we should mark it with your perfect bar whatever that is.

Zippi - you around? HOw is your day going?

Boco · 17/08/2007 17:11

I watched your videos 100, and made notes.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:14

and if you do stay in my house there is one room that you CANNOT GO INTO - a bit like the tale of Bluebeard - do you remember that?

Boco · 17/08/2007 17:15

Oh thanks bbbee, that's a lovely kind offer. It's only the week after that i can get anywhere, which is when i'm hoping we'll camp with my brother and his mongolian horse riding girlfriend. But i'm just feeling dubious that it'll happen. But then i just had an old friend get in touch and ask if she could come that week, so i have a fallback. She's very good fun, always having ridiculous affairs with old men and being heartbroken and stuff, she's very mysterious and dramatic, it'll be great.

Boco · 17/08/2007 17:16

What room? Why not? That's an impossible request - is it your dungeon?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:25

not quite so exciting - did I seem the type then?

No it is DP's room. He has his own room and it is like some kind of nest with loads of books and computers and keyboards and swords and stuff.

It is scary in there.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:27

Swords?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:27

yes - he collected them for a while. I am used to it - is it really strange?

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:28

Elaborate please. What kind of swords?

Hang on, was it your dp who did re-enactments?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:28

NO!

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:29

LOL. Someone's did, and they were on a tv programme and he was dressed up in green. Just checking.

So the sword collection BB . . .

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:30

no offence or anything - doing re-enactents is - um - fine. I went out with someone and then he started doing re-enactments and it was all rather - um- unattractive.

HE has a samuri sword and a chinese sword and an old sword. I don't pay much attention really. He has some old maps too that he talks about sometimes.

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:31

oh yes I remeber the loke in green - he was very attractive (desperately climbing out of the hole)

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:31

Does he have a secret life do you think? I think he might do. I wonder what he was doing with his swords and maps these last three days.

perhaps he's a time-travelling spy or something?

BBBee · 17/08/2007 17:34

that must be it!

he also currently has 8 cricket bats and a large collection of snuff and chewing tobbacco.

ahundredtimes · 17/08/2007 17:36

Does he also have a large twirly moustache and a Lords cricket cap?
