FAB TITLE BY FMF (AND BBB)

For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

I've been eating beans straight from the garden. Is it just beans that are called green beans or all beans that are green I wonder...

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2007 14:03

kidney beans that aren't cooked properly make you very ill indeed

FrannyandZooey · 16/08/2007 14:04

Avi DID you buy both then? Stop teasing us and TELL ALL

MrsC great news on the blood test, sorry to hear about poorly ear and twat doctor

Zippi have a good cry. Go on

3andnomore I am a bit like that, I have phases of stuff and then won't touch them for ages. Bizarrely I just made myself a cheese sandwich on white bread and then couldn't eat it. It just tasted awful. Very odd.

The meet up will be LOVELY we are ALL kooks in our own ways and there will not be anyone left feeling sad in the corner

Ds shouting "Can I come and show you my scary face?" "Yes go on then." "Ok but I have got my willy out." I blame A Gormley

My ds's constantly have their willies out. They appear to be allergic to clothes.

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2007 14:07

you mean don't go and see dp because he didn't text me yesterday? cry instead? or go to the gym? and swim?

TooTicky · 16/08/2007 14:07

When we're at home, that is. Obviously I insist on clothes when we go out.

TheMaskedPoster · 16/08/2007 14:07

well I never!!!

you do learn something new everyday...

I have been eating them raw since I was knee high to a grasshopper - and there's nothing wrong with me .

LOL

anyway - thank you for all your help - have just phoned DH and given him the news and he was rather suprised too (and perhaps just a tad apprehensive!)

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2007 14:08

maybe it's the dried ones

FrannyandZooey · 16/08/2007 14:09

Zippi cry if you want to

then go to the gym

then cry some more if you fancy it

why would you go and see dp because he didn't text you?

Oh Zippi
Go for a nice bracing walk.

Boco · 16/08/2007 15:22

Zippi hope you feel better soon.

LL hope you had a lovely day - sounds very busy and fun.

I've had pepper, cucumber, tomatoes, strawberries and a very nice peach. Went for lunch with friends and dd openly swooned at big 7 year old boy who asked her to do dancing with him in the sitting room. She went all funny and pink and danced earnestly holding his hand.

When i asked dp about going to London to see the gormley, he swore quite alot, and said that anthony gormley is a total tosspot. Apparently he's not a fan then. He wrote some article recently that dp took great offense at, i don't know, i just wanted to see the mist and the penises.

Avi, i love that kitchen, it's beautiful! It'll last forever and be a lovely thing to have around. We have a cheapo plastic one, which is quite retro 50s kind of. We have it in the playhouse that we made though - i drew it, and my stepdad built it. I have some pictures somewhere....

thanks for the hankies

what a fabulous play house..I would like one of those it is my ambition to live in a wooden hut and be creative

Boco · 16/08/2007 16:54

You are always welcome to come and live in our wooden hut and be creative. It has it's own kitchen and bedroom and sitting area. There are some lxxfas though.

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2007 17:11

I would love to..you might get fed up with a mad woman in your garden though frightening the children

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2007 17:21

Ooh Boco that's a good hut. Well done step-dad. I wanted one of those, with the upstairs and all, but they're cost sooo much from garden centres. You were smart. You need a flag pole though, can we get one?

I like your dds. I think dd1 looks like your dp, and dd2 more like you. Am I right?

ALSO whatever where they watching with the hand-holding thing, and the look of awful concern? Why were you taking photographs of this trauma?

zippitippitoes · 16/08/2007 17:23

she just told them i was coming to live in the hut

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2007 17:27

LOL Zippi.

Boco · 16/08/2007 17:58

Oh 100x that's very odd, how do you know that? Really! DD2 looks just like dp, and dd2 looks much more like me. You're very spooky today.

dd1 made a big flag at the festival, on a stick, and it says her name and a picture of a mouse type creature - we need a flag pole to put it on her house. And maybe a little white picket fence. It's called 'Visity House' apparently, so a name plate would also be good.

The girls are watching 'Come Outside' in those other pictures. Pippin is lost on a building site, presumed crushed or mashed - dd1 is very protective and shielded dd2 from the agony. They're funny, they won't let me switch scary things off, they cuddle and look deeply traumatised. Aunty Mabel shouldn't really be allowed a dog.

MrsCarrot · 16/08/2007 18:07

You don't need a playroom with a great playhouse like that, Boco! It's beautiful and so are your girls.

I loved the train pics of the boys but although I have strained and strained I can't see Greensleeves in the window

It didn't occur to me to mind anyone seeing what I looked liked when I joined. If I'd known people were going to be so secretive I may have withheld my deluge of wedding/cake photos and enjoyed any speculation over what carrot looks like Mind you, all will become clear soon

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2007 18:08

Oh good, I thought I was right.

Oh dear. Is that the woman with the spotty plane? They do seem to be going through the mill a bit.

I'm on the earthmother thread - everyone's saying 'Oh that's a nice thing to be called' and I'm Cassandra like in my calls of 'No, no, it's ALWAYS an insult.' Is hard work being right all the time.

MrsCarrot · 16/08/2007 18:08

I saw that one!! I hoped pippin had got crushed up, mwah ha ha. Sorry

ahundredtimes · 16/08/2007 18:09

Sorry, I meant to add a grin or a smile or even a wink after that.

MrsC - I LIKED those photographs. Though if it helps, I do keep forgetting what you look like, and you DO in fact look quite different in my head, which is obviously insane.

Boco · 16/08/2007 18:11

Really? Do you think it's always nasty? I'd say it can be a bit snide, but not all the time. I think people get called it if they like spending time with their children - by people who don't like spending time with their children.
