I hope the time is long and make sure you make every moment count.

foxinsocks · 15/08/2007 20:39

I'm so sorry OJ.

LilyLoo · 15/08/2007 20:41

Oj really sorry is Steve going ahead with the treatment ? That article from Kesh is really inspiring as i know when we got the diagnosis for my mum we wanted any positive stories we could find and tbh 5 years was great if we could have had that at the time. If you want to discuss anything you know where i am. Make sure you look into avenues of support for you all especially the dc's. I am so sorry for you but Steve still has his life to live whilst he is here and hopefully whilst he is feeling well he can fight this evil thing. Age helps as he is young and has a fit heart , that's what we were told, my mum was 45.
I don't know if your religious or not but my mum wasn't actively going to church but the local priest came round at the time when she asked and she took great comfort from him. I think she could talk to him about things she didn't want to discuss with us.
Life is so unfair and i wish this didn't have to happen to another family.
Much love to you all.

tissy · 15/08/2007 20:47

wishing you strength

misspiggy · 15/08/2007 20:49

Oh OJ, I really feel for you all.
Thinking of you xx

jollymum · 15/08/2007 20:54

OJ have been lurking on here and Misdee's thread. Things are progressing for her and her DH and I hope things will change for you two as well. Would like to send you hugs and wishes.......can't imagine how much this hurts you both. My mum died of cancer so not total stranger to this, but send love to Steve too. He must feel so bad in himself and I too would feel angry at life's shitty timing. Please keep posting and whilst I can't alter things, I will send love and hugs.

xxx

SpookyMadMummy · 15/08/2007 21:06

OJ, Haven't posted on here until now but I have followed your story.
I can't begin to imagine what you both must be feeling. Wishing you strength and love X

DutchOma · 15/08/2007 21:07

Don't know what to say any more than anybody else, but can't not post on the day that we are all so pleased for Peter and Misdee. To have this miserable news is just so sad.
May God give you strength, remember that "in all things God works for the good of those who love Him". No matter how bleak a situation God can make good out of it. My prayer is that you and Steve will be able to hold on to that
