For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

Have a good shout Lullaby fgs. What a nightmare. I am pleased you'll be home for ds's birthday though. I hope he likes his shop - sounds fab - I always was tempted to get one for ds but dp said we had no room (due to huge amounts of other toys everywhere ). I hope he has got lots of f+v to put in the shop I used to have a link to a most marvellous website where you could buy really unusual wooden food - like croissants and brie and ice cream sundaes etc. I will have a search and see if I can find it (think I lost it when the last pc died)

Lionheart erm I just kind of meant, erm, that it couldn't have been very nice for ANY of you, you know? I mean, I am sure chickens have an innate sensitivity somewhere behind that beady and beaky exterior. What I am saying is I BET THEY KNOW YOU HATE THEM

Boco went to a wedding in Bristol.

Hope everything works out okay LL. Still haven't eaten any fruit and veg. We have nothing in the house. We are never here. Tomorrow we go to see euromouse. Oh yes.

LOL

ds is like that with pretend meat or images of meat in books

"Mummy I don't know what this is. I think it might be some kind of meat food."

and Avi I know this is unlikely to help, but I think avoiding buying things for 5 weeks, then blowing all the money you have saved on fab and ethically produced wooden play camembert is actually a SUPERB idea

OP posts:
lionheart · 30/07/2007 21:21

Has it been five weeks already, avi? Does it feel like longer? It's impressive.

FrannyandZooey · 30/07/2007 21:21

OMG

in the thrill of all this wooden grocery excitement I forgot to say I WENT TO THE GYM

Oh. Yes. Sorry

There is a Brio cooker for £30 on that site. I thought that was quite bargainous.

OP posts:
lionheart · 30/07/2007 21:25

£500?

If ever an incentive for taking up woodwork were needed, it's right there.

lionheart · 30/07/2007 21:26

That's a good sign isn't it, avi?
