For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY - if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion.

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY - can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more.

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being. Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Basic guidance on what constitutes a portion of fruit and veg here and you can download more detailed information by following the link at the very bottom of the page

OH everyone has gone to bed now? I am home, 400 or so miles with a groaning car and 3 (albeit well behaved) children later and we are VERY tired, a little drunk and trying to say nice things to the washing machine. I have missed 10/10, although it was refreshng to have no lap top/phones etc.

Tatties · 04/08/2007 23:06

Avi certainly! It is very simple so I could type it out in an email? Or I would happily copy and post it if that suits you better?

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 23:06

Lionheart NOOOOOOO thank god you escaped, how resourceful of you

MrsC welcome back Was it lovely?

You know I can't normally stay up this late AT ALL. It simply won't do. Would you all please come on and be entertaining a little earlier, tomorrow? I was waiting here all evening for you.

Twice I am out of practise! Quite brown yes, I tan quickly though there wasn't much sunbathing to be done with Lo. The weather was amazing, we were lucky. Just up the road from Tintagel/Bude, I thought of popping in on 100x as we passed Bristol (slowly) today, traffic was shite, but we chugged on. Dh is making bed gestures.

Tatties · 04/08/2007 23:09

Oh I should very much be in bed now too. But we have visiors, therefore ds not going to bed until too late, etc.....

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 23:11

LOL at bed gestures

best left in my imagination I think

oh, nothing so interesting unfortunately, the trip was a little bare of romance despite canvas, fires and stars, but it was frezzing at night, and I was allergic to the rabbits.

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 23:17

Oh gosh

would you recommend it? My friend is desperate to go teepeeing

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 04/08/2007 23:17

freezing

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 23:17

I liked frezzing

OP posts:
MrsCarrot · 04/08/2007 23:19

I would recommend it, it was lovely, no cars, your own private clearing, everything there for you, wood, pots etc, swallows and amazons type lake with boats. Weather dependant thoough I guess, we had a fab time.

MrsCarrot · 04/08/2007 23:20

but I really was allergic to the rabbits

FrannyandZooey · 04/08/2007 23:21

what were the rabbits doing there? They were installed in the teepee? You get pets?

Hello, Mrs C. Come and tell us about your frezzing tipi adventure tomorrow.

I would like to do it too.

MrsCarrot · 04/08/2007 23:25

Yep. I felt allergic straightaway, there were hairs on the rug and it was leaking, dripping, though we had left in full sun it was pouring when we got there. I assumed previous occupants had taken a dog but they don't allow them on site. The warden came over on his quad thingy after I complained and he said the tipis are frequented by bunnies between occupancy.

I am allergic to all fur but it did wear off, though I felt a bit asthmatic over the week.

MrsCarrot · 04/08/2007 23:29

Yes, Lionart, I think I must bore you with a slide show tomorrow, for I am shattered, and full of bloatingly soporific pizza but that's another story. Night.

pinkspottywellies · 05/08/2007 07:55

Aaargh! I wrote a long explanation of how it wasn't my birthday last night (it's in May) and then the computer crashed and I couldn't get an internet connection! Oh well at least it had the effect of sending me to bed at 11 o'clock! Nice to see you back MrsC and glad you had lovely weather. Love the theatre story lionheart! Franny, I bet the Black kite isn't in there because it's such an amazing discovery and they don't think for a minute that anybody would see one!!

MrsCarrot · 05/08/2007 08:37

Morning PSW

I am checking in quickly before whizzing off to the beach again. Today is going to be HOT, and the rest of the week looks cloudy, there are mountains of washing and no food so I plan to rouse dh with a coffee and {hastily defrosted} bacon sandwich to see if he minds driving again and stopping to buy a picnic on the way. Well, I may as well ease myself back into the drudgery slowly

Half a banana. There are some things in the fruit bowl that look like a science experiment, but my lettuce has gone crazy, carrots and beets look great and the apple tree is so laden a branch is touching the ground, hope it doesn't get the black blighty thing it ususally does. Right, off to persuade a lumpen DH that he does want to drive a bit more. Hmm, Holkham,
Southwold, or maybe cromer, I fancy a crab.

BBBee · 05/08/2007 08:42

Mrs C have you gone?

we are camping in north norfolk from monday - tell me all the best things to do!

MrsCarrot · 05/08/2007 08:50

No, still here, trying to do an online shop to come tomorrow

Weeelll, you must go to Holkham Hall and see the deer and marble hallway, which you do quickly before going to their lovely larder and and buying pork pies and smoked venison to eat on the fantastic amazing beach opposite the victoria (also meant to be fab for food but have never been). Wells, is a lovely town, great fish and hips opposite the harbour. Stiffkey for marsh views, crabbing and and samphire, Blakeney for seeing the seals and they have a rather good deli there too. Cley for beauty and the smokehouse. Hmm, my whistle-stop tour of North Norfolk seems to be very food orientated

pinkspottywellies · 05/08/2007 08:58

Sounds lovely MrsC! Enjoy the beach. DH and I went to Cromer the first year we met - my sister was living there. We got a kite and a boogy board and a bucket and spade and had a whale of a time on the beach!!

BBBee · 05/08/2007 10:03

thank you very much - making notes whilst packing - am looking forward to Holkham. We are camping so nice food is a must!!!!

FrannyandZooey · 05/08/2007 11:55

Morning, sorry PSW, I know someone said it was their birthdsay coming up and I have the 4th in my head for some reason. Was it you 3andnomore? Will the birthday girl please stand up?

Am off out to Sunday dinner in a pub with friends - we booked a while ago, when it was cold and rainy. Seemed a more inviting prospect than it does now in the blazing sunshine tbh. Am hungry though as have had no breakfast. Should be plenty of veg, at least.
