Trace2's dd in hospital again - Anyone got any experience of her problems?

Yesterday she was took in again and trace posted this this morning

dd was rushed in yesterday again some sort of fit or reflux i have no idea i just wish i knew

So can anyone give her any ideas she's so scared

Trace is at the hospital at the mo but i'll send her this thread later to look at

thank you again, dont know weather they keeping her in yet as her pead is going away today, as yesterday they was keeping her in untill she had ph, but cos he couldnt fit her in he decided to start meds, so weather we have to come back when he gets back i dont know ill find out this morning as i came home with ds5 years while dh stopped with chloe, but we was being tranfered for a scan today at a childrens hospital, but they dedcided to come to us to do it.

Frizbe thank you i feel like we are getting know where with this, i understand they dont know either but its so frustrataing, not knowing for sure whats wrong with chloe, but i must stress she is not ill, even with kidney infections( even docs carnt understand) its just the episodes

yes trace i was. i want to give and chloe a big hug. its horrible and im feeling a bit useless tbh. will you find out more today?

your not useless your all a big help to me! well i hope i find some thing out today, just phoned dh he says she had good night, but then started aruging on phone the bloody stress is getting to us

its the brain scan, will let you know proberly be tonight, but i think it will be ok its just to see if shes having fits

dont think ph will be today as peads last morning on ward befor he goes on leave, and i think he said he didnt have time this morning thats why he tried for yesterday

It's such a stressful situation trace. Especially when you have other children at home. And people handle it differently; dh and I were sometimes so far apart. Be kind to each other (hugs)

I'll look for new later.

I certainly dont have the medical knowledge to be able to help at all, but I hope you get some good news and she picks up soon - can only imagine how worrying it must be for all of you.

Trace - if the scan is OK today maybe it's worth pushing for the PH to be done at the children's hospital. You can't go on like this.

trace do you have support at home? can your dd1 look after jac so you can spend more time at the hospital? Or alternatively is there anyone on mn who is local to you that can help out?

i think its an eeg.

i feel really touched about the responce we have got of mumsnet i didnt relize how many people care about people they dont know in real life.

if i dont get any answers soon i will just take dd to the childrens hospital

other dd just moved out last weekend and min law went away yesterday so ds is having to come with us

what a worrying time for you
DS had silent reflux and had a couple of hospital admissions because of it but nothing on the scale you are dealing with
thinking of you and hope that you get some answers soon

at the moment i am scared of stopping on my own with dd as scared some thing will happen its been one thing and an other where its been life threating am so scared ill mess up we been lernt cpr but scred ill do the right things

how can reflux be so much of a danger? i said yesterday if its reflux how come she didnt know us and her eyes was starting and going up in to her head, they said its staving her of oxygen.

trace i used to just run when my dd stopped breathing. i was flippin useless!

with the eeg they put electrodes on her head and then let her sleep while they do the test. they then wake her up with a bright flahing strobe light i think thats when they can see if she is fitting. its a pain getting them to sit still but its painless for her hth

It's called a hypoxic spell trace - when the body is suddenly starved of oxygen. I'm not medically qualified by any means but I'm sure it could happen as a result of reflux, if she aspirates.

Has she been tube fed at all and has that made a difference?
