Good evening

Our previous thread is here

If you've got cancer, this is the thread for you. Introduce yourself and feel free to ask any questions. We also welcome anyone who is waiting for cancer tests. We know how scary it can be. So don't be shy. We will happily hold your hand and hopefully wave goodbye when you get good news :)

TQ that's excellent news. Now hopefully you can make some nice plans for the summer and enjoy the break. I'm really glad the Caelyx has been so effective for you :)

addle huge sympathies with the house buying - that's rubbish timing! I'm glad the birthday party went well Glitterball

My back is perfectly fine today. Phew. I actually slept really well last night. I have a whole selection of special pillows so managed to prop myself up comfortably.

TQ excellent news to have the summer off, very pleased you get some respite.
I have done the dentist and had a blood test this morning, gone rogue with my compression stockings and have let my toes out to wear flip flops. If I looked odd before.....
I have my penultimate zoledronic acid on Wed which is in the chemo unit, I don't mind going back, but feel a bit of a fraud each time which is ridiculous. Need to phone to get post op appt, which I have definitely been putting off Sad thanks for asking purple
Lactulose worked so that's cheered me up no end!
leslie hope you're relaxing today Smile
Enjoy the sunshine everyone Flowers

Glad your back is better Leslie and the lactulose worked pepper!

I have just got a quote for annual travel insurance from AllClear and it was £2.5k!!!! I am assuming this is because of not having finished chemo yet?! Or is this what I can expect from now on?! How the hell is anyone supposed to afford a holiday after that?!

YearOfYouRemember · 25/06/2018 15:24

Just a quick post to say Wine for TQ.

Not up to more but hello and thinking of everyone.

addlebrained · 25/06/2018 16:23

Hope you’re ok Year and good luck for results day (sorry can’t remember where we are up to but think it’s in the next week?) Flowers

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 25/06/2018 17:41

pepper you're very disciplined to keep the stockings on in this weather! Good luck for Wednesday :)

addle shop around as I've known people in all sorts of treatment situations get insurance and a lot cheaper than that! You could try Insurance with - it was set up by a woman who had cancer herself. I haven't used them myself. I think I used it's so easy

Hope you're feeling better soon year or you're at least managing to enjoy the sun

Hope it's ok but I've started a new thread here

YearOfYouRemember · 25/06/2018 19:31

Sorry for my pathetic post earlier.

I've not been feeling very well, couldn't sleep last night and I have problems with dc3 and have to go into school about them.

I'm putting off ringing for results. Can't face them right now. Wednesday would be absolute earliest anyway.

WhatWouldLeslieKnopeDo · 25/06/2018 21:09

Year sorry you're struggling. purple has started a new thread as this one is nearly full :)
