Okay today, 2/3 (yoga and fruit and veg) but steps were useless, not helped by the constant rain today. I hope you're all getting on well.

I think December is going to be a difficult time for meeting the targetAlice. I'm away from home for a few days visiting my youngest DC who lives in Wales. So loads of walking around but no exercise bike!

Stellar67 · 12/12/2016 19:26

12k steps, yoga done, but the fruit and veg has been a fail with two. I did drink 8 glasses of water.

AliceInHinterland · 12/12/2016 20:05

Good excuse told! Have they got a real bike you can hop on to make up your minutes? I hope they're spoiling their mum.
Well done Stellar you've still got time to pack in a couple more fruit and veg.

Hello all. I've been doing well on the steps front: 14K on Friday, despite my work night out. Saturday was 7.5K - no walk as such, just running around organising at DS's party. I walked yesterday & got to 12K. Surpassed myself today as I had a shopping day with my sister & got to 15K.

Diet-wise, on the other hand...Blush. I'll do a 5:2 day tomorrow to start getting back in check. Feeling huge. And changing room mirrors in shops tell the truth!

toldmywraath · 12/12/2016 21:16

No bike here I'm afraid. My youngest son decided to stay on and work in Wales after finishing university there. He's treating us to lunch tomorrow. We live a good five hours away so staying for a few days. He won't be home for ChristmasSad

toldmywraath · 13/12/2016 08:09

Prosecco crumbs I've just seen how many steps you're doing! No wonder shopping wears people out.

MoreProseccoNow · 13/12/2016 10:44

Urgh! Plucked up the courage to weigh myself this morning. Almost at my heaviest ever, so really mustn't gain over Xmas. On a 5:2 day today.

AliceInHinterland · 13/12/2016 16:25

Prosecco it's amazing how many steps you wrack up shopping - well done! I hope you enjoyed the party.
I'm sorry your son won't be with you for Xmas told but I'm glad you've been able to have some time together this week.
I'm on 1 F&V and 2.3k steps so far today - some serious catching up to do, let's see how I get on...

OP posts:
AliceInHinterland · 13/12/2016 22:38

Right, 5 F&V, 7.2k steps and 9 mins yoga, so an almost there sort of day! How are you all?

OP posts:
AliceInHinterland · 13/12/2016 22:45

In case nine minutes of yoga sounds odd, I was interrupted by the baby, and decided to call it a day!

OP posts:
Stellar67 · 14/12/2016 06:36

Well done Prosecco and Alice.

I've been stepping to get 11k yesterday, hope to do the same today. Fruit done. Yoga not done but I will do twenty mins today to make up for it.

Have a stepper of a day ;-) (I'm leaving now)

toldmywraath · 14/12/2016 08:04

Morning all. I did 12.5k steps yesterday and had various fruits and veg including lovely green kale. No bike but plenty of puddle jumping!

toldmywraath · 14/12/2016 08:05

Get your coat Stellar Wink

AliceInHinterland · 14/12/2016 22:36

Hi Stellar sounds like you've got into the swing of things.
I've done 5k today (meh) but fruit'n'veg abd yoga on target (lovely lazy practice called twilight Yinyasana). I've been forgetting to update you on my daily treats! Unfortunately today's was a lot of M&S food, I'll have to think of one that is both cheap and not calorific tomorrow, maybe a new audiobook.

OP posts:
AliceInHinterland · 14/12/2016 22:37

Should say Yinyasa - on Movement for Modern Life, a subscription to which was a treat earlier in the week. I'm enjoying it so far.

7K steps here, not bad for a working day when I couldn't walk at lunchtime. Tomorrow & Friday will be easy as I'll walk DS to school.

It's such a busy time of year- have loads on at the moment. Finding it hard to prioritise me-time for diet, exercise etc.

Stellar67 · 15/12/2016 08:40

14k yesterday.

Stellar67 · 15/12/2016 08:42

That posted too soon. Yoga done and fruit and veg done.
Have a splitting headache this morning and feel a lazy day ahead as been flat out this week with DCs and Christmas. Agree prosecco, it's hard to get time.

AliceInHinterland · 16/12/2016 08:21

Sorry to hear about your headache Stellar, I hope you're feeling better.
I managed my steps and veg yesterday but could not find the energy for yoga after a huge dinner! 2/3 isn't too bad though.
I'm starting to think about January, either 5 mins mindfulness, pelvic floor, or some kind of diet tweak (bit of a cliche). What are you lot thinking?

OP posts:
toldmywraath · 16/12/2016 15:41

Hello all. I'm back & on target for steps yesterday & today. Fruit & veg a bit low at 3 or 4 and not back on the bike yet. Blush

Alice I am going to go back to using My Fitness Pal in January- but I will wait until after the inauguration of President Elect Trump on 20 January. I find New Year's Day resolutions are doomed to failure.

AliceInHinterland · 16/12/2016 21:24

Glad you're back within reach of the bike told even if you are currently resisting its siren song. I'm on a pitifully low number of steps today, something like 3k but I should hit the fruit and veg target. Yoga is still to play for. We'll see.
I know what you mean about resolutions. I'm also finding three targets works well, with 2 out of 3 regularly being hit, so I want to add a mini target really BUT my stomach is expanding rapidly and I'm really keen not to have anyone think I'm pregnant again so part of me is considering all guns blazing low carb. Decisions decisions.

Well today has been a write off all round! I'm prioritising trying to get the house in order for Christmas, at the expense of diet and exercise, but the house is looking exactly the same, stuff everywhere, painting not done, sigh.
Still had a December treat today, new Ben Aaronovitch audiobook, enjoying that anyway.
I hope you've all been a bit more successful.

Stellar67 · 18/12/2016 12:42

Well done everyone for attempting something. I feel like I'm on the slide downhill now. DH is working away till the 23rd and I'm just trying to keep on top of it all.
I have discovered these things called popaball that you put in fizz and they are lovely. All fruity too ;-) probably not in a good way.
I have put exercise time in for tomorrow and Wednesday. But that might be it Blush

toldmywraath · 18/12/2016 22:09

Made my steps today with a Christmas dog walk with my local dog walking group (gulp-just over 3 miles) Hit the f&V with 7 yesterday, but only 2 so far today!

Still not on my bike.
