Essbee's DS in hospital.

You may or may not have spottedfrom another thread that Essbee's DS is in hospital with kawasaki disease. He still has a high temperature, is very tearful but being quite brave. His lips are still too sore to drink/talkbut they're trying to do without the IV drip so he's trying to take sips although even a straw is painful.

Should anyone fancy sending him something to cheer him up, (and having quizzed essbee) apparently the new version of "Shoot Out" cards is out now and he got quite into it last season - was gutted when the cards finished IIRC.

They are back from hospital (again) and feeling fed up. Essbee's computer keeps crashing which might mean she's not able to post.

pageturner · 08/11/2006 10:00

Oh bum only just seen this. Still having computer probs and didn't get on at all yesterday. Will text essbee now.

Essbee's ds is back in hospital. Someone is coming down from Bristol tomorrow to advise on further treatment. I'm going to go in and see them tomorrow morning. I'll pass on all your positive thoughts etc.

mamama · 09/11/2006 05:05

Best wishes to them all

tigermoth · 09/11/2006 06:58

hope things improve for your poor ds, essbee - what a time you're having!

Flamesparrow · 09/11/2006 08:55

Oh crap. Thinking of you all.

Tiggiwinkle · 09/11/2006 09:43

Really sorry to hear this. Please let essbee know we are thinking of them.

bendi · 09/11/2006 13:09

Just caught up on all this with tears rolling down my chin. Essbee was such a love when she helped me out in Devon this summer - I can't beleive all this crap on top of other crap with more crap on the side - and poor darling DD too. Please give her mine & Bens love when you see her at the hospital, she must be shattered in every sense of the word. I'll stick some things in the post & please tell her that even though i'm in Yorkshire, if there is anything that I can ask Steve to do in her bit of the world I will do like a shot. Tons of love and good thoughts to them all. xxxxxx

My thoughts are with you and ds Essbee, much love xxx

pageturner · 09/11/2006 14:32

Hi all. I've been in to see Essbee and her ds at the hospital this morning and passed on all the love and good stuff to her from this thread.

Ds was looking brighter while I was there, temp was normal and he was eating. But it's clear from his chart the temp goes up and down like a wave and Essbee said he is usually better in the mornings. The cardiologist was down and was hopefully going to come and talk to them about treatment options. Fingers crossed they include going home, I think everyone will be happier there.

Essbee's parents are down atm and looking after dd. Father is going home today, I think, but mother staying for a couple more days. Apparently they're 'doing things' to Essbee's house while she's not there, which is worrying her a bit! Her sister turned up as I was leaving, so at least they've had some company today.

Essbee really appreciates all the kind words and thoughts. Keep 'em coming!

mamama · 09/11/2006 15:24

Am glad Essbee's ds was looking a little better when you visited. Keeping everything crossed that he continues to improve
