For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Charlee - you are beautiful!
(and I am of your boobs!)

Have had sedentary day at 'puter at work, but will have 1.5mile walk home and will be going a ho'-ing later(I mean hoe-ing and digging at my allotment, tilling the land, and no doubt singing a few rebel songs while I'm at it, though not as beautifully as F&Z )
Have had plums, grapes and melon for snacks, veg tortilla for lunch and a smmmoooooooooothie.

Pan1 · 07/09/2006 13:49

Nice glasses. Lovely boobs. Just as I imagind you, in fact.

and who ARE all of these thread tourists? Frances, can you see to them elsewhere? It looks like you have been neglecting he little kittens. (no, not more effing kittens!!)

FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 13:52

Now now, Filly is always welcome here with open arms. She is a hard core fruit and vegetarian, she takes a breadmaker camping up Welsh hillsides.

The others are just her little band of groupies, they don't do any harm. Just pick up those party rings before Charlee gets them, will you?

Well

Today I have eaten

6 banana
8 figs
3 oranges
2 servings of pumpkins seeds
Quite a lot of raisin bread
Some tomatoes
A mango
An avocado
And some cheese

So ner

I have also walked fecking everywhere which has got to be at least 8 miles total. For some of this I was carrying 2 children. For most of it I was retracing steps.

And kicked several bollards

And sworn at some people.

I have had a shit day and am in the foulest of foul moods.

fullmoonfiend · 07/09/2006 16:51

Pan, don't worry, we know fillyjonk - when she's not kicking bollards and swearing she's a very timid creature.

here she is. Quite fluffy, see

Charleesunnysunsun · 07/09/2006 17:06

Thanks again for all your lovley comments

I will be about later and i will bring all my charm and wit with me

I am having cherry pie for pudding im not sure if that counts as a portion or not?
I had found a recipe for chicken stir fry with plum sauce i went and got all the ingredients and now i have lost the naffin' recipe! grrrrrrrrrr

FillyjonktheFluffy · 07/09/2006 17:21

another avocado
2 carrots
a satsuma
a plum

and now I am eating the fruit of the under-respected cocoa tree.

(I think it might help in this challenge to be built like a navvy and also bf a ravenous 14 mo)

Pan1 · 07/09/2006 18:08

keeping an eye from afar..

welcome Filly..you DO sound committed...(or should be...)

working v. late and a miserable total of 3 so far and it isn't going to get any better this evening...

Beetroot · 07/09/2006 18:11

today I have had blueberrie, mango, cherries, strawberries, orange lemon, passion furit, melon, apple lemon carrot, celry - all as juices! Home made

Beetroot · 07/09/2006 18:12

6 banana? you will be very bunged up!!

FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:14

Well I was thinking I am glad I don't have to share bathroom facilities with Filly

Have I really tempted you back purely by the power of my fruit bragging thread?

I have eaten another banana, an apple and some raisins. Going to gym as soon as the father of my beloved child returns.

OP posts:
FillyjonktheFluffy · 07/09/2006 18:15

i suppose, if you're not used to high levels of fruit consumption, 6 bananas does seem like a lot.

FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:17

Beetroot! You haven't been on here before, have you? Are you going to join us?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:18

6 bananas is a lot, you big heifer

Don't think you can come and outclass my fruit eating on my own thread, I have a very competitive streak and a gut of iron

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:19

and are you claiming cheese as a fruit, or a vegetable, exactly?

OP posts:
Beetroot · 07/09/2006 18:22

imight stay

I have only had raw fruit and veg for the last three days

Strawberry and cherry juice was really nice..

Was hoping it would clear me out but so far..tmi!!

SO i need ot discuss cheer leaders? Is that allthey eat?

BTW CHEESE is not a fruit or veg! HTH

FillyjonktheFluffy · 07/09/2006 18:31

oh crap, is cheese not a vegetable?

that might explain the navvy's build

moo

FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:32

You need to speculate on what Charlee looks like, in a lascivious manner, and preferably provide links

pretend to get stuck up a tree and wait for Pan's big helmet to pop up and save you

do a bit of arse kissing about my wonderful leadership

and kick out the tourists from time to time (ie Boris, HC)

Oh yeah, and there's this little thing about eating 10 portions of f + v and doing some exercise every day. OK?

OP posts:
FrannyandZooey · 07/09/2006 18:33

Seeds don't count either Filly. Or at least if they do I would like to see the evidence of it (if they do then my f + v consuming prowess reigns supreme)

oooh oooh! i can answer that one avatrix!

no, it doesn't.

Charleesunnysunsun · 07/09/2006 20:37

Ohhhhh new members! Wow more people to offend with bad behaviour!

I hope you enjoy childish pun's, dodgey inuendo's (especially about cheersleaders and firemen) and general madness!

Watch out for Pan though he cracks his shiny helmet out at daft o'clock in the morning it's very scary especially when your also faced by my pom poms!
And like Franny says you will have to post links guessing what i look like, hint the thinner and movie star like the better

I had my stirfry it was vair yummy,i quite fancy a peach but i have eaten 2 already today and about 4 yeasterday! I wonder if there is any support groups for a peach addiction?
