For anyone who wants a boost to their general health. The suggested goals are:

EAT 10 PORTIONS OF FRUIT AND VEGETABLES EVERY DAY

(if you don't usually eat much fruit and veg I would build up gradually or you could upset your digestion)

DO (AT LEAST) 10 MINUTES OF EXERCISE EVERY DAY

(can be yoga, stretching or something more energetic. The plan is that the idea of doing 10 minutes is not too daunting, and having started you may well find you want to do more)

There are no restrictions on what you eat so long as you get your 10 fruit and veg as well. The focus is not on weight loss but on improving our energy levels and hopefully our general mood and well-being.

Sign up below and post here to tell us how you're getting on and how you are feeling.

Courier some to me immediately

No, seriously, can't you do things like blanching and freezing, and bottling it? You will have to get one of those old fashioned books on housewifery and be making jam and pickles all day.

I have detoxed before years ago - though its all abit dimly lit in my memory!

I can vouch that eating your greens and your fruit is well good. I think all the restaurant meals I have eaten int he last 2 weeks which while great not to cook, is no my usual fruit/vege consuming self.

Made a great stew last night with leeks, mushrooms, tomatoes, potato, brocolli, courgettes, carrots, brown rice - which wel all consumed heartily

Papillon · 22/08/2006 08:32

oh and kidney beans in the stew too

malory you sound like you are doing an excellent job of moving all that vege. I would quite happily eat it for you

Anyone northern is welcome to come and raid my allotment

Papillon - lovely to 'see' you again. Haven't needed the yurt for a long while, but as soon as Winter comes, I'll be burying myself back under the cashmere kilims and will be needing your happiest and sunniest visualisations to get me through the rain and cold...! How's baby Paps?

Charleesunnysunsun · 22/08/2006 10:53

So why are you on her F&Z, instead of frantically cleaning your skirting boards with a toothbrush
(No matter how clean and tidy I think my house is, my MIL always says something like ''oh, I know you're working now, but I always find a good housekeeping routine helps...''

Papillon · 22/08/2006 11:31

Hi FMF would be lovely to see you in the Yurt We of the Yurt are actually thinking of meeting up in real life, in France for a Yurt holiday would you believe! Next summer since this one has gone arse up. You don´t seem to need Yurt when you have tribal happenings

I have just had a 2 week holiday with my MIL. She is a good one though so lucky me!

The cleaning routine that scares me though.. checked out that FLYLady site the other day [freakded and shocked]

hi LadyMaloryTowers , Papillon, Aviatrix, pan boy, Charlee, Franny and Z, fullmoonfiend, NQC, whew, I think that is every one.
I am also feeling better for this, it's lovely hearing about how every one is doing, Lady Malory your garden sounds fantastic (we are currently renting for various reasons) and would so love to have a garden again.
I can't remember who cancels their box scheme, but where the hell are you if there is a year wait to get on the scheme. Mad, bet you are in London.

So far, glass of orange juice, two nectarines, strawberries and cereal for bfast, and tomato salad for lunch.

I am going to have to steel myself to do some exercise this afternoon, as my enthusiasm is waning a bit. But I can't help it if my pilates dvd hasn't arrived yet Scared to dry the pump it up one in case I pull all my muscles again

I do have alot of tomato's my plant in the gardens gone mad, i wonder what i can salvage rom the chooks?

So what is it then just a plate of tomato's?

Papillon · 22/08/2006 13:46

I had tomatoes, lettuce, avocado, cucumber (in smallprint) mozerella, french saue and (bacon) shhhh

and i have just eaten a mass of black grapes... supposed to be good antioxant I think?

Charleesunnysunsun · 22/08/2006 13:58

After risking my life wrestling tomato's off my rather cute but savage chickens, i decided that there was not enough ripe ones so i had instead.

A jacket spud with tuna loads of chopped spring onion, lots of tomato's and sweet corn and a big glass of freshly squeezed oj.

FrannyandZooey · 22/08/2006 16:33

FMF, I am not cleaning my skirting boards with a toothbrush because my MIL is a drunken, slobbish loon.

Have a great evening y'all!
