Hi guys ... join me over here?

OP posts:
imaginaryfriend · 06/09/2006 20:34

did you read her first one, notasheep? 'after you'd gone'? I wept virtually from start to finish.

cc, how's the driving today?

pandog has totally vanished, have you noticed? He was so optimistic and positive about quitting it feels bizarre that that's all vanished.

Another day down for me. Strangely yesterday and today I've felt more cravings than I had done. Really horrible gaping hungry lung feelings. Why is that? Will it really ever just completely go???

charliecat · 06/09/2006 20:40

Scrounge mode...ill have your weepy books off you, in fact we could even have a fag free book swopping session?????
Notasheep, are you still sucking on less fags?
Drove the kids to school this morning, took me longer than the bus Traffic Jam from 1 min away from my door to 30 seconds away from dds school.
Am utterly disgusted with the poxy bus company. I am more than happy to sit on a bus saving the enviroment and being 1 less car on the road but ive been priced off the buses
Fecking arse.
In a previous life I used to be a bit of an eco warrior and that part of me is having to shut down to get in this smelly petrol guzzling motor and drive it away....rant rant rant.

imaginaryfriend · 06/09/2006 20:51

That sounds a bit of a nightmare, cc. To be honest I've always looked at the traffic jams with people driving kids to school and been glad I can cycle dd in. It would be at least a 40 min. walk for us and the bus is dreadful. The bike takes a smooth 10-15 mins and really wakes me up in the morning. I'm hoping it'll be even better now there's no nicotine clogging my arteries!

charliecat · 06/09/2006 20:54

Sounds lovely IF...going to try a different route tommorow, thinking that everyone leaves early at 10 past 8 and gets jammed and if I leave at 8.25 I might float through. The bus can go through town but cars cant.

imaginaryfriend · 06/09/2006 21:12

The bus routes by us are better than driving because they have their own lanes so they zoom past the queues of cars.

by the way, re the books, it's a fantastic idea - a fag-free book swap!! what you got to offer in exchange then?

OP posts:
charliecat · 06/09/2006 21:55

dont know, will dig. be back tommrow with a list

notasheep · 06/09/2006 22:55

charlie-few fags but not quite there(maybe that should be my new name)
IFriend-i adored after you were gone, her new book will be on my what i want from Father Christmas list

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 10:11

I've just about finished the new one, it's a psychological twister of traumatic degree.

So ... when you gonna quit then? You got rid of your dp yet?

cc, where are you? Too busy driving to sit at the computer?

OP posts:
charliecat · 08/09/2006 10:12

Exhausted from all the arguing over car sharing

charliecat · 08/09/2006 10:14

Havent looked out books yet. How are we gonna persuade notasheep to get rid of those last few?

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 10:45

so driving's all it's cracked up to be then, cc?

I don't know, notasheep's kind of vaguely dragging her DMs isn't she? I think she's ready but can't make the final leap. I was like that too. 3 weeks for me now!!

OP posts:
charliecat · 08/09/2006 10:48

Not the stalking of where ive been and what im doing and how much petrol ive used .....no its grim.
DP turned Victor Meldrew.
And the HILARIOUS thing is, ive only took the kids to school and back and stopped in to get some bread and milk.

notasheep · 08/09/2006 10:51

3 weeks!!! I am really jealous. This Nicotine is the bloody Devil
Dp and i are actually communicating at last.
If i am not here i have got to go to dentist today-dreading the fillings and wisdom tooth out, enough to send me chain smoking NOT!!!!

charliecat · 08/09/2006 10:55

Pleeeaasse dont be smoking once youve had that done NAS, imagine the deadly shit that will be leaking right into those wounds Dont please

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 12:24

Ah, cc, you've put a foot into your dp's domain - The Car. I guess it's been his, all his, until now and he's going to get all OCD about it! You need your own car don't you?

notasheep, totally agree with cc, don't smoke with a hole in your gum! Having said that I know I would've when I was smoking. 3 weeks feels good. 6 months, do you think then that I won't be thinking about it at all? Or sooner???

I had a hilarious cab driver yesterday who told me about his 60-a-day smoking wife (he quit 9 years ago) who quit in January and was so unbearable to live with that last month he and his kids begged her to start again. He said she's back to 60-a-day and is now sweet as can be. I was listening to it all and suddenly said 'yes, but she's going to die!!!' and he said, 'I know, but if she carried on like she was when she quit I would've murdered her anyway'!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

charliecat · 08/09/2006 12:25

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 13:24

I know, I said they should make a documentary about her!!

OP posts:
notasheep · 08/09/2006 19:56

So this was my day;roll up at 11am,wisdom tooth out at 1pm(its a long drive to my dentist)and dp says dont you think this would be a good time to stop smoking.
Havent had one since

charliecat · 08/09/2006 20:42

Well bloody done notasheep Wave your dms in the air

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 21:32

Yay notasheep! Stamp your DMs!!

How are you tonight, puss? I'm VERY tired, watching crap t.v. waiting for dp to arrive and watch Dracula with me.

I had a delicious moment today when I thought 'I'm not a smoker any more'. Instead of the tragic, sob sob I'll never have another lovely fag again, I thought the opposite. Phew ... it's mad isn't it to mourn something that's killing you?

But WHAT has happened to panthingy?

OP posts:
charliecat · 08/09/2006 21:43

ive stalked pan thingy round the board and been ignored im sitting down to watch the telly now, just got a dishwasher, couldnt load it...do you have one/ bloddy thing, wanted to kick it.

imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 21:55

You're getting so posh, cc, driving, dishwasher, blimey!

OP posts:
imaginaryfriend · 08/09/2006 21:57

He's a strange chap, panthingy, really full on for ages and then now just disappeared in a puff of smoke. Even if I'd failed my quit, if I was around on MN I'd want to pop my head onto this thread and say hello, wouldn't you?

OP posts:
charliecat · 08/09/2006 21:57
