My dds is nearly 9 now I sure we were cahtting when she had not long been at school????
Shes being really odd at the moment, acting jealous of a baby, look mum, look .
And tonight she had a fit because another child had one of her plastic dogs. It was HERS and she didnt want him playing with it.
Cant seem to get it in her head...just imagine if you were round someones house and they were having a fit over something like that....

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:33

Mine's going through a VERY obsessive phase and really can't bear 'failing' at anything she tries to do even when it's something completely impossible. She's actually got a bit more sociable but only really with the same little girl at school and she's very possessive about her. She won't put her name on the board until her friend comes in and puts hers next to her. She stood there, apparently, for ages one morning when friend was off ill...

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:34

Clever Cat Charlie
Monday is still on

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:40

But she talks non-stop at home? My dd never shuts up when she's familiar with somebody and is actually very entertaining. I find it slightly sad that she can do all kinds of things that the teachers have no idea about! She's been writing her name and odd other words for a while now but they've never seen her do anything like it. Plus she sings beautifully at home and sits totally silent when there.

A cat, a sheep and an imaginary friend spoke to each other in cyberspace one night ...

OP posts:
charliecat · 02/09/2006 22:42

Not non stop at home, you have to get her excited about something to get her started.
She ok now, I think, still does a lot of standing grinning at friends while they gabber on sounding LIGHT YEARS older than her

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:42

Oh but sorry, you're not a sheep. Would you like to be a different animal instead?

charliecat · 02/09/2006 22:43

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:47

A sleepless sheep. Or a sheepless sleep.

OP posts:
charliecat · 02/09/2006 22:47

Have you been partying too much?

imaginaryfriend · 02/09/2006 22:49

cc, she looks so uncomfortable around other girls it's heartbreaking. Especially when they do all that 'competitive' 'I'm taller than / prettier than / cleverer than' stuff. She just has this one little friend who's even quieter than her and is very sweet. I'm dreading it after Christmas when friend goes to reception and dd stays in pre-school nursery until her reception in September.
