Malt - agree with all the others that your cancer is all out so the waiting is only annoying but not risky - can understand why you are fed up though.

Betsy and I are different as we still have our tumours so started the chemo asap

Speech day was mainly prize and was nice as it is only juniors. Nice afternoon in the park as there were a few dads to organise games for the boys so the rest of us got to sit and gossip . No more early mornings or 8.5 weeks. Amazingly I will (if it goes to plan) complete 3 more chemo cycles beore they go back to school!

Oncologist appointment today - has found some spread to bones, but many X rays then taken and only one lesion found. He's going to get me on new drug going through NICE at present but which he's managed to get for another patient on BUPA. So not the best news - but very swift action!
Decided not to watch all the Murray game - too stressful and I would like to punch the lights out of one of the commentators (think it may be Andrew Castle).

Grr re lesion but new drug and early action sounds good. I think you may have to join a queue to punch Andrew castle.

Lily, sorry to hear about your update. Silly cells will be squashed by fab new drug I'm sure.

I bought new wool today. I already have wool stash beyond life expectancy so it was quite a positive thing to do. Dh is getting a christmas jumper. I have knitted up the swatch and done my calculations.

Sorry to hear that lily, but hopefully the new drug will do a great zapping job.

Phew I'm exhausted after watching the two semis, great matches though and Murray played well so fingers crossed for Sunday. Hoping Lisicki (sp?) wins tomorrow, she is just so lovely. :)

Yes the mirror pool is outside my office, and swimming pool quality water, drained down overnight. They don't always put water in but it was a good day to fill it today :)
Watched the end of the Murray match, but will be out tomorrow so will miss the Lisicki match :(

v.late.. we're watching Glastonbury highlights and I'm feeling old..! The weird reaction to anti-biotics is making me so bloody hyper.. Reminds me of steroids on chemo.

Gigs, not surprised you had a weep on DH. I wish we could make it all go away for you. Easy for me to say, but Rads were bound to knock you down. Now the only way is up. Huge hugs from me xx

Topsy, not surprised you're worn out. Wool is the least of your needs.

G'ah for that lesion, Lily, but one's not so bad, as it sound like it's only just there, which means there's so much they can do and bone is the place to have it if you have. They're ever so good at keeping the pesky cells on bones these days.

We did some sea swimming again last night. It seems to be my new obsession.

Sorry to hear you news lily but as the others have said the drugs are wonderful now and it looks like it has been found really early.

What are we all up to this weekend ? We have the usual taxi duties for dcs activities this morning but we are being wined and dined tonight at my in laws which will be nice. (I have lovely in laws). Tomorrow will be housework / jobs and dinner in the camper at the beach in the evening after the tourists have gone home with more sea swimming.
